my Parents wouldn't even let me see the Hunchback of Notre Dame when I was younger I still haven't seen it but my Mother said it was because of some pervert priest guy in it or something like that.

Nate (post: 1344252) wrote:I haven't seen that movie either (though I should, I hear it's really good), but yeah, the priest in it is a pretty evil dude, and if I remember the Nostalgia Critic correctly, he basically tries to force her into marriage with him or he'll cause her to burn in Hell for eternity. That's pretty rough.
Because anime has so much less sexual content than American entertainment amirite?

Nate wrote:
where one of the characters walks around basically topless the entire series, and attacks by shooting acid out of her breasts
and this was shown on REGULAR TELEVISION.

It's called clear play, and you download filters off their site, plug them into the player, and you can control what gets filtered and what doesn't, like violence and mushiness. We use it all the time because we're big fans of great movies that would be amazing if not for that one swear word.

That's one of the above 13 rated films I'd actually want to see dropped down to 13 as far as age is concerned.
Nate (post: 1569077) wrote:Well, and all the blatant racism and misogyny but I have a feeling Clear Play has no problem with racism or misogyny as long as they don't say "bad words."
But Clear Play would probably be a great invention for people who are pressed for time! Like watching all three of the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings movies? There just isn't any time for that! But with Clear Play, the entire trilogy would only be about an hour long!
Really I don't think you could get away with rating a movie with so much full frontal nudity as less than R due to standards. I realize the nudity is there for a reason but the ratings guidelines don't really allow for exceptions like that. Maybe they should, I dunno.
Jingo Jaden wrote:True, in 99% of the cases I would agree with you, but the nudity in Schindler list which portrays quite literally a horrible, naked truth that our generation must learn, and general artistic nudity I make exceptions for.
some people don't enjoy raunchy sex scenes in a movie.
