CAA Arcade Tournament #2!

Talk about anything in here.

Postby freerock1 » Thu Oct 06, 2005 10:19 pm

Nice, I got the huge Bye this time. At least that gives me time to practice up on Airfox.

I was actually thinking of making a suggestion, though: I don't know if BracketMaker will allow it, but if possible it might be good in future tournaments to try to balance the Byes evenly on each side and, if necessary, in each quadrant. That would help keep one person from getting a free ride for several rounds. Even if you'd want to implement that for this tourney I wouldn't be offended.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

 Looking for a GOOD music mix? Check out these stations:

Grey FM Downtown -- a mix of mainstream and Christian pop and rock music (Listen Now!)

More real stuff...

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God. The Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, They will walk and not be faint

Capn and I have played. Here are the results:

Talame: 104157
Cap'n Nick: 8137

Sorry Cap!

Edit: Since Chocobo777 won his game, does that mean he and I play Airfox against one another?

Ok. I played my game, and it took me like 20 minutes. I finally die, and as it starts to transmit the score, a message comes up on my screen saying that macromedia flash has had an error. my browser shut down, and no score was transmitted. I do however know what my score was. It was 26300 something. Cephas's score was 25470. this means that if you take my word for it I won. I would not be offended however if you wanted to make both of us play it again. Airfox is however a rather time consuming game, so if replaying could be avoided that would be good.

I PMed Slater about it, and he trusts my integrity, so I will go on to challenge Roll in Pingu slap. Although I hold the championship in that event, I am not confident that I will prevail. After that day that I won, I have not been able to make a score anywhere near as high...

I do omit games that are unreasonable... so far, I've only not allowed Pingu Bashing or whatever that one is called where all the people on the high-score board have the same score (obvious reasons).
Brackets updated.

also, I didn't omit airfox because the number of those who can actually keep a game going for over an hour is smaller than one might think. If I omitted games based on time it takes to complete them, I'd have to remove Space Invaders... *points to his 5.3 hour long SI game*
