Aside from the swearing, Group X is pretty spiffy.

I have one of Slow Coming Day's CDs--"A Part of Me Died." The music isn't bad, but it is one of the most depressing things I have ever listened to.

Has anyone heard of Lewis? I believe I saw them at Cornerstone once, but I haven't heard anything about them since.

The New Pornographers: Unfortunate name, to be sure, but still one of the best indie-pop bands out there.

Oh my goodness someone else knows of them, I just remember they had one of the best albums of 2003...they were catchy indie/electronic stuff kind of like the Postal Service. And I am happy to see Eisley get some attention, Texas hasn't had a real good band that people heard of since the late great At the Drive-In. Oh and I enjoy a group actually called Final Fantasy, they have nothing to do with the game, it is a side project made up by the violinist of the Arcade Fire. It is some real cool stuff, I suggest checking out the album: Final Fantasy - Has a Good Home.

Aleixa. I'm actually listening to them right now. They've disbanded, but you can still find their music out there.

Purge is from their follow-up album Disfigured. Their first nationally released album was called Honey Lake (my favorite of the two).

I was going to mention them here, but ssjjvash beat me to it (like ten pages ago).

So instead, I offer up DOX. I wish I could find them on CD.

Yeah, Slow Coming Day's song on the CD was pretty depressing...Not to me but it's not exactly a joyfull song.

A good and halfway well known band is Poison The Well...Not christian but good and I like what I heard a lot. I may buy one of their CD's sometime. These guys are kind of bigger but it doesn't seem like many people except teh halfway undergrounders know them...

LOL I remember when I used to listen to a bit of Poison the Well a couple of years ago. Yeah, they're not bad, but they don't really appeal to my tastes much anymore.

Someone mentioned about Anberlin a little bit ago. Ha ha...I absolutely loathe their song Foreign Language...I mean I still really like the band, but I always skip over that song. I also like the acoustic version of "Autobahn" more than the other...but that might just be because I heard that version first...and I'm a sucker for acoustic stuff.

Yeah I don't really like the song Foreign language either...I love the way Anberlin sounds but I can't listen to them much becuase the lyrics really grate on me. They seem borderline promiscuos. (Read the lyrics closely.) Sorry to all you fans out there. I still ike them but I only like the lyrics on very few songs of theirs.

There is this band that sounds sooooo much like Aqua...called Toybox. They sing a song called "Tarzan and Jane" which is absolutely hilarious.

I have heard of Klank; a few of their members appear as guest artists in "Suspension of Disbelief," by AP2. I believe they are at least ostensibly a Christian group, although I am not sure about that.

Mm...not sure how well these two bands are known...but how about...:

Hot Rod Circuit and Head Automatic?

I really like Hot Rod Circuit (I find them to be catchy...PLUS Max Bemis sings the bridge on one of their songs, which is so amazingly cool). I've got a bunch of Head Automatica songs...but only of them them is really good..."Beating Heart Baby." All their other stuff...actually really isn't very good at all. It was very disappointing when I listened to more of their stuff...-.-'

Beating Heart Baby is a rad rad rad song, Hikage. I really like it. My friend sent it to me like four months ago and I still listen to it occasionally.

And for those who don't know, Head Automatica is a side project of Daryl Palumbo from Glassjaw and Dan the Automator of Gorillaz fame. That makes them cool right there.

Iona. I just acquired their CD "Open Sky" today, and I'm loving it; it's beautiful music.

For something completely different, I recently heard a few songs by Chatterbox on an old Tooth and Nail sampler. I hadn't heard of them before this (my guess is that they broke up a long time ago), but I like them.

LOL I like the Violet Burning. I actually saw them live and they put on a really great show. Mai, if you like the Violet Burning check out The Gravity Show. It's some project by Michael Pritzl who is in The Violet Burning.

Aku_soku_zan - Yes...Beating Heart Baby is an amazing song...very catchy. I never was a big fan of Glassjaw, though...but I really love Palumbo's voice. It's amazingly good.

I love Project 86 but I think that they're a little to big for me to post...I have a 3rd Root CD but I don't really like it. A really good band that I think broke up a while ago is one called Puller. All their songs that I've heard I've loved. I think that this band has been mentioned but I'm gonna say Subseven. They're pretty unique and very neato.

I just met this guy today from Austriala who's in a christian nu-metal band...I believe they are called Shroud. I'm listening to his CD right now...It's like a cool christian mix between Linkin Park and TrustCompany...In between those without any rap. It's quite good.
