My mom

Postby Jaltus-bot » Sat Jan 15, 2005 3:51 pm

My mom was trying to clean off the marks in the paint from the licyol(sp) used on the mold on our ceiling and she fell off of the foot stool and got hurt on Wednesday. She had a doctor apt. Thursdsay and six X-rays taken. The injury is muscular and she has emphysema. There is scarring from way back. She was doing some research about it online and it seems like she had some of the symptoms of it back in high school. She may have had the kind emphysema that occurs from birth with some kind of deficiency of something and then had that aggravated by smoking and smog. It doesn't make sense that she would be able to reach normal 100 percent lung function at times though. Even the doctor was quite. She spent almost nine months with a frozen shoulder and physical therapy for it, then had bronchitis. Now this.

This is on top of fibromyalgia with myoclonis or connective tissue pain, chemical hyper sensitivities, allergies, migrains, and I'm guessing still the asthma. She will have another appointment with the doctor next week.

The injury from the fall is on the left side, so she can't fully use a cane on that side and the locked shoulder thing was on the right side so she can fully rest her weight on a cane on that side any more. Over all, it stinks.
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Ouch. . . that's rough. I'll be praying for her. I'm so sorry!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Ow...I'll be praying.
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

My mom had her appointment with the lung doctor yesterday. Her emphysema is thought to have been largely cause by toxic exposures, under-treated asthma, and allergies. She uses accessory muscles for breathing more than her diaphragm. Her difficulty using her diaphragm when she had w-rays done for her rib injury is part of what helped classify it as severe.

She is trying to quit smoking cold turkey now and my dad isn’t always the most supportive of things for her.

:( that's tough. having numerous medical problems is hard, and on top of that, quitting smoking. but thumbs up to your mom for deciding to go through with it, and cold turkey on top of that. i'll definately pray for her.
