What do y'all think of this rap band(?)? is that what you call them. Anyway, I just got their latest cd and think it's pretty good.

I've heard of them! I haven't listened to many of their songs, but they do play on the radio here and from what I can remember of their music, I like them.

They're coming to NZ to play in about... two weeks. Hurrah! Only problem - I don't think I can go. -_-' . Next year.... :)

I've only heard a few songs - are the songs on the CD pretty similar in their sounds or do they vary a lot?

Well... one sounds as if it could be from LOTR in the start, another is with a woman singin', another is... yeah it is diverse. But in a good way.

By the way, I love to eat grits...but it doesn't compare to their songs.
I actually haven't listened to that much rap, but at least know it's pretty safe with them, since they're Christian.

I only have their "Art of Translation" CD, but it's really good. I love the song "Ooh Ahh." I've heard some of their other songs as well, and it's all really good. I'd like to get some of their other CD's.

Ahhh - THAT's by Grits! I know that song - is it the version with Toby Mac in it? I heard that on the radio and loved it because it's so singable and just palin good music.

Oh come on, this whole I-hate-rap-because-it's-rap-crap people are into is getting old. If something is good, I'll listen to it, and Grits are good. It's just some good down and dirty southernfried hip hop. I need to grab Dichotomy A and B. They are supposed to be really good.
I'm a shoe-in for hater of the year.

I have heard their songs 'Believe', 'Here We Go' and 'We All Fall Down'. They are pretty good, but its not my favourite thing to listen to.

Lemme know when you get Dichotomy A and/or B, Aku. I've heard they were really good as well. But I'm wondering if it would be better to get those or to get Grammatical Revolution first. (Mainly because I've heard the "Smash-Ups" version of "They All Fall Down" and thought it was awesome. But maybe that's because it was smashed up with Steven Curtis Chapman's "Dive" and Audio A's "Get Down."
