i kinda, uh, broke my arm this last week. loooooooooooooong story short: typing anything with only one hand is a real freakkn' pain in the neck and takes forever. hence, i'm afraid that you poor, poor dears will have to do without my sparkling presence for a bit. :forehead: i'll try to be brave, but i really don't have the patience to type like this often.

book club people: december's book is going to be eragon by christopher paolini. someone with both hands, please feel free to use their mad typing skills and make your own thread to chat about the princess bride.

now, if you all will excuse me, i'm going to chuck my key board out hte window.

cheers.

Oh man, serious bummer Lehn. I've done that twice. I hope your cast doesn't itch too much, and if I knew you in real life I'd leave you a really cool message on it!

That really stinks. I broke my leg into 8 peices (that they could count) and it hurt like nobodies buisness.

I was doing something stupid (trying to ride my bike with no hands) when I did it.
Not fun.

Anyway get well soon!!

Come undone, bring me back to life

I remember breaking my left arm by falling out of a 20ft tree. What made things worseis that I broke my left arm, the side I write with. It was so uncomfortable writing w/ my right hand. Looked like a 3yrs writting... Anyways... I really hope you get better soon. Plus if it iches, you can always stick a pencil down it to scratch it. :P

Sorry to hear that. I've been fortunate enough to not break any bones at this point in my life, so I can't really emphathize. I sympathize, though, for whatever that is worth.

However, I have had arms out of commission, and hence I affirm you for the effort it must have taken to inform people of your absence.

Probably something stinkin' awesome like "Get well soon"

So sorry Lehn. That's gotta be annoying. Funny, just the other day I was thinking, "If I broke my arm, I wonder if I could still type.", but if you can't do it I doubt I could either.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
