The thread for all current and future announcements concerning the Knights of CAA.

We have a clarification of purpose and a modification of our creed. This is directly related to a problem observed by the administration of these boards, and we would find it very helpful.

There are a great many duplicate threads on the boards, created for many reasons but often because of ignorance. This is the source of the new modifications:

1) Knights, assist the CAA by checking for threads of a similar topic before creating a new thread. If your topic could fit under an old one, please use the thread instead of creating a new one.

2) Use this thread for Knights announcements, and only this thread. That way everyone can simply check this thread, without having to look for others.

2) If a new thread is created that is immediately duplicate (ie there is a recent or current thread on the subject in the same or another forum), please notify the moderators (as per normal notification rules) so that we can handle it quickly.

Even though I'm not a knight, I just wanted to thank you all for having one thread for all the annoucements for you guys, it'll help reduce a lot of the clutter, thank you :thumbsup:

Anything else would be counterproductive. Other announcement threads in the future must be discussed and affirmed by a moderator or deleted.

Now you see why its good to have a mod for a friend. As well as the author of my favorite series. Thanks, UC.

A quick thing...I'll be on and off, so not alot is currently happening....I will dedicate a part of my online time to try and get on here and really work on the knights... In fact, heres our new system of goverment! Sorry, I should discuss this with some of my knight advisor council people, and I will, but this is whats currently in the works for a new governing system for the knights, a new class system. This grows out of the need for structure and allowing somtime members to enjoy knight membership. Here it is!

Five or six new classes for the Knights of CAA:

Hedge Knights: These are newbies, people under 100 hundred posts, and seldom posters, people who are on very little or almost never. As soon as you reach 100 hundred posts, you advance to the next level. Note: THIS DOES NOT MEAN SPAMMING. It is simply a way of making sure that you really are going to stick around. Its more of a trainee kind of thing than anyone else. The leader for these people is Spiritwolf, and her title will be
Bush Knight.

Sword Knights: These are people who have 100 posts or more, and who've been around awhile. These guys and girls are the regular members of the Knights, kind of the average joe. They can sign up to do special things such as Big Brothers Big Sisters or some other future program. this is going to be the main of most of the knights, although there will be several people chosen from among this class to be leaders, in the future. This group will have a leader called The Master of Blades, although there has not been a person decided for the job. thos who wish to apply may talk to me.

Lance Knights: Lance knights are people who have been around a good long while, helped out and generally made themselves a blessing. They will have the responsibility of leading a 4 man (not including them) team of Sword Knights, meaning that any minor problems can be brought to them. more will be written about this later in the announcement. UC will be governing these as First Lance.

Paladin: Paladins are the highest Leader rank, people who have done major good and people who have a talent for work and leadership. This class includes the Directors of all the departments, and those who are Council members. I personally lead this class, as Knight-Paladin Chief Commander, or just the Commander.

These are ranks and classes which tell who governs who, to heal our governing problems. The next ranks will be for roleplayers, playwrights, and a couple of special people:

Jeight: This class is designed for Zilch, because he made it up and I made it official cus I can. a Jeight is a Jester Knight, a silly guy, but a playwright as well. All playwrights fall under this class.

Administrative Knights: This is for the mods and admins. THey can tell me what to do (obviously) and generally boss people around, although they call it suggesting around here

. All mods are atuomaticly Admin Knights. They do not have to do anything to be there, they just are...yeah.

Shield Knight: These are Roleplayer Knights. a Knight themed roleplay is soon to come!

And finally....

Crash Knights! These are just my friends, with no commanding rank or anything. You can be a Crash Knight, but only if you know what the answer to Bax, and how you pronounce it!

I'm not really sure if this is such a good idea about the "classes" kind of system--do you really want to encourage a ranking that would encourage spamming to reach a rank? Just something to think about.

Can someone cut paste the previous announcements here? And please sticky this, UC, so it will stay up so people will read it. You don't need to STICK it so its permantly there, just sorta make it float close to the top for awhile...thankyou!

I feel I should apologize to you, Zarn, for not being very active as a Knight. There just hasn't been much for me to do with my position. If I'm at any time called upon for something that falls into my jurisdiction, I'll be happy to be of service. But should I be taking more initiative here, or what? Since you seem to have the ideas around here, your input would be appreciated.

Spoony, I would like to see abit more action on your part, although I realize that I haven't had anything come up that your talents could be used in. I suggest you think up an idea and then come to me with it via PM. Also, your Imput will be listened to if you have any other suggestions.
