First Day of Middle School! >^^<

Postby c-girl » Tue Sep 07, 2004 5:19 pm

Today was my first day of middle school. It was lots of fun but sometimes confusing. >@.@< There were so many hallways and classrooms. There was so many things to memorize! I got lost a few times but got to the room before the 5 minutes in between classes was up. next most confusing thing! Getting the lockers open... *shudder* It takes a lot of concentration to get it. I had to do adleast 5 times before I knew how it went. Then it was pretty easy... but i have to still concentrate hard. >"<

the teeachers were very nice. >^^< They were very patient and fun. ( But this is only the beginning... wait till we get further in the year.>.>;;;) One of the teachers is absent because she had a baby in June and will be out until September 26. (she's my drama and language arts teacher! >^w^<) So yeah.... That's what i wanted to say... Oh! and has anybody else just started middle school here??? >"<

Yay! You started school! Share in the learning/misery! :)
There's a guy in my co-op that reads manga...the meepness!
I haven't met anyone yet besides myself who read manga...He knows alot about mechanics too...which is cool, since I have always been fascinated with the way things work...
And there's a girl that I talk with well too! She's so animated when she talks...it's so fun to hear and relate to what she's saying.
Yup, so that's school for me! At least the social part of it. :)

I practically got arested for carrying Trigun manga on my second day of seventh grade. It was my friend's "Kill Me Kiss Me" that got us busted, though. >_<
Think happy thoughts.

I'm really confused about the names of schools there are in the US.
In the Netherlands it's like this:

Kindergarten
Basic School (Elementary school) Age: 4-12
Middle School: Depends on the level you take 4, 5 or 6 years. So age: 12-18
Then it's either (middle level school, higher level schools (academy), university)

What's it like in the US?
//HBNU Creations// - Webmanga in the works!
//My DeviantArt// - Check my art ;D
//Everlasting// - My LiveJournal.

Well, Kindergarten is part of elementary school.

But, there's Preschool, which is usually 4 year olds (You don't have to go to it though).
Elementary school, which is kindergarten through 5th grade. Usually 5 through 10 years old.
Middle school, which is 6th through 8th grade. Usually 11 through 13 year olds.
And High school, which is 9th through 12th grade. Usually 14 through 17 or 18.

But it really depends on how smart you are is and when your birthday is and such.

Actually In my school we had Junior High instead of Middle school, and it was an evil time... It is a bad time but with luck and perseveerence you will survive. Good luck

Ah.... >"< What middle school are you going to??? >^^<

I'm home-schooled. I go to a co-op (where other homeschoolers meet, and the parents teach us-we all use the same curriculum and have the same assignments.
We meet at church every week.)
Yup, that's pretty much it! ^^

Oh shut up. I have a whole class dedicated to speech. I HATE speaking in front of a group... but its required for class of '08 and onward at my school *cries*

Highschool is fun so far. Being a freshman is ok at a Christian school cause all the upperclassmen are especially nice *grin*
