I know it sounds stupid but to me its not . . .
We have had my cat now for 9 years and he has had FIV for most of it and has now been diagnosed with cancer and all sorts of things. Well the short of it is we nee dot put himdown and its gonna be really hard on all of us. Just please pray that he won't suffer much and that we will get through it OK. Its really hard on me too becuase he is the answer to my prayers of many years. I had always prayed for a cat and being a military child we couldn't have pets because we moved. One day this cat appeared on our doorstep and bam! my paryers were answered! Now its sad and hard because he is like my best friend . . . so please pray!
Thank you! >^_^<

No prayer is ever stupid, Kisa- Chan. I know how you feel. I have a cat, and many that have been lost.

That's not stupid. Pets are very dear creatures. Our family has had several pets throughout the years, and it's been hard on me whenever we've had one die (especially when they've lived with you for several years).

Anyway, I'll be praying for you. May God give you peace.

I will just echo what others have said, Kisa. It was very tough on me losing all three of the dogs I've had during my lifetime. Pets can be such an important part of one's life and family. I will pray for you, that God brings you peace, strength, and comfort in this time of need.

It's definitely not stupid :( ... and being a veterinarian's kid, I know very well that FIV is basically a death sentence. When my cat that I'd had for 18+ years died while I was in medical school, I was depressed for months. I'll definitely keep you in my prayers.

Indeed, I love my pets, too. I'll pray for you, your family, and your cat.

It's hard on me whenever we lose a pet...we have alot of cats and most are wild, but I'm still sad whenever one dies, wether it was friendly or not. In fact, I hate killing ANYTHING if I don't have to...well, except cockroaches, mosquitoes, and a few other nuisances. But say, a spider that's just been around, I don't want to kill it if it's not dangerous. Some people think I'm like steel, because I don't really show my emotions much, but this kind of thing gets to me. We had a cat we raised since it was a kitten, because it's mother died. It disappeared a few months ago, and though it was a male, and they like their own territory, I can't help but think he's dead. And the fact that he's gone isn't much help, either. Another time we had a black kitten that we had gotten to be extremely friendly, and we all loved it. One day we found it in the back yard with teeth marks on it's stomach...the dogs that had ran around the neighborhood for a while killed it. If I could've found those dogs then...

Anyway, Kisa, I'll pray. I understand how hard it is to lose a pet. And no prayer that is important to you is ever stupid.

*hug* I feel for you very much, Kisa. I'll be praying for you and your kitty. ...I don't know what I'm going to do when my cat dies. He's like, 10 years old now, but he's still pretty healthy. I was worried about him for awhile cuz he started going bald, but he grew all his hair back. (Let me tell ya, a bald cat is definite experience *giggle*)

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.
