I was looking back at old threads I made years ago and I gotta say, I hate the way I typed and spelled. I was like a hyper active typer. If a number could replace a letter. I went from b4 to before. Anyone else have similar sobering moments like this XD

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

Well, my typing skills were always legible but my ability to discuss things properly was rather naive.

Yeeeeup. I found some of my older stuff,
i would type sentences in all lower cases, and not put spaces between the comma and the next word, and use commas more than once, and the sentences would go on and on. Like that.

Not really... I was always hard on my own spelling, and had very good grammar when I started posting in forums. I hated how my friends had issues spelling in real life on papers and the like, and strove to do better than that.

Heh. I can look back and see how much I've matured as a person. And even now. I've matured a lot even in the past week. God's been working quite a bit these past few years...

Me and some other of my online friends did this just recently to a forum that we were on a few years ago. It always funny to see how you change and mature even in typing. Like using proper punctuation and spelling correctly. Not having and exclamation point after every sentence. XD

Oh dude, don't even get me started.

I once looked through my past PMs and posts, and I was downright embarrassed. If I could delete them all from the face of the Earth and pretend they never happened, I will be very very happy. I was really, REALLY bad. I honestly can't believe that people were so nice to me when my grammar was so annoying and horrific. >_>

My sentence structure hasn't been the best in the world for many years nor do I think that it will be improving anytime soon. But I can say that I have learned how to 'talk' better online thanks to typing in forums. I have also become faster at typing then I used to be. I used to type at an average of about 25 GWAM, now I'm about a little over 45 GWAM. A bit of an improvment but I still need to do better.

I... I've actually gotten lazy and rushed and gotten worse, actually, especially in IMs and texts. Maybe due to autocorrect?

I'd be careful with relying on that auto-correct. There're whole websites dedicated to the hilarious accidental corrections it can make.

I get embarrased over old stuff I drew. I want to burn it too. I want to burn every single old pic of me.
"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." I think I've changed a great deal from when I first started here. It's weird looking back at some of the threads I've started during my tenure here. Here are some of the more crazy ones:

Best Anime Catchphrase of 2005
The Kakashi-Sensei Book Club!
Image A Customer Cursed Me Out! Pray for Him!
The Naruto Headband Downtown Photo Project
Mr. Rogers had the First Flat Screen!
Girls Who Play Boys in Anime!

I'm not going to lie, I still think that a few of these were good threads, but, for the most part, I'm so glad THAT KhakiBlueSocks has evolved and matured into the KhakiBlueSocks you see in front of you today.

At least I don't use Comic Sans MS anymore. :n_n:
