Hi there! Update from Kilbourne.

Hey there, folks!
I'm posting this from Yokosuka - we pulled in for a liberty port for a few days, so I can actually get online for a bit.
Thank you all for your prayers and for the help as I got underway - I was finally able to qualify, get my fish, and get promoted to Petty Officer Third Class (that is, the Navy's version of a corporal). I'm now ET3(SS) Kilbourne, instead of a normal seaman. Hooyah!

Praise God, too - we've been having some spiritual fruit in all of this (a guy is starting to come to Christ, and some others are being rededicated), despite a lot of struggle. I've been growing in my own relationship with God,(and that has also been a real struggle...), and there is fruit here, too.

So... what have I missed? What's been going on in CAA?
I'll try to send some pics when I get the chance (unless we leave before then...), but they'll be mostly of our swim call and halfway night.

Anyway, ummmmm recent news, google + has mixed responses among the community, but we all agree it's just another social site we'll get bored of.
And this I pray, that your love would abound still, more and more with real knowledge and all discernment. Be prepared to preach the gospel at a moment's notice. Do you know the gospel well enough to do so yourself? Be ready.
