OOC: That's a little bit... dirty. but ok. <_< ... anyways...

I'm really just making up stuff about this medical stuff. I have no clue. Feel free to call me out on stuff.

-Justine-

She watched as the girl walked in, clothed normally. Something she had yet to see of Ilyana. It was a pleasant surprise, save for the mysterious bulge in her pocket. But Justine decided to let it pass.

She sighed, and combed her hand through her hair, and took each sheet of paper, laying them out for her. "Alright then. So this is the patient release and discharge form. Sign it so that Ms. Felden can leave." She turned to the next form. "This is the malpractice waiver, so that if anything bad happens, we know it's our fault, not the hospital's." She turned the page slowly, watching to see how Ilyana would react. She had seen the girl hesitate slightly when handling the unwind's parts.

"And this is the unwinding waiver, so that no damages done to any of Jacob Simmons' organs can be blamed on us after this point. It's a formality for those bureaucratic dogs that insist that unwinds are still alive after being unwound. Well. Mr. Simmons is cleaning Ms. Felden's blood fairly well for it being against his will. In any case, sign there, there and there. "

Justine walked back to her desk and checked the clock. "In any case, I have to make rounds, and you are free to do as you wish for the remainder of the day. We'll talk about your lodging later." As was her usual treatment, Justine walked out of her office without saying goodbye.

Harley's heart skipped a beat when she saw Julia standing in front of her. She hadn't heard her approach. But where was Amara?
Harley was starting to feel very uncomfortable being alone with this girl.
"Everything." She replied with a roll of her eyes, figuring playing a vague card would be best. "Ok so, I have a question for you." She might as well kill time and make conversation. "Why are you so stoned face about all of this? A dead guy in your back seat? Really? Are you just used to seeing all of this gore?" It was a good question. This serial killer (if she was one) was really unusual. Though, she had never met a killer before. But this girl standing before her was not much older than herself. Could she really be the killer she had pegged her for originally? But this had to be the girl she saw from the diner!.. But was it? And what was up with her childish act last night?
Things just weren't adding up.

-Julia-

She smirked. It seemed as if the inhabitants of this strange afterlife believed that the events that were happening were real. Julia knew better that it couldn't be possible. A dead body in the backseat, a strangely transfigured face, a mushroom cloud in the distance. None of it could have been real obviously. But she figured that it was best to play along with the world for now.

"Well, I have some sort of anti-nervous disorder. I mean, I'm disgusted by the body, and it smelled really bad, but I just don't get impacted by things, you know?" She said nonchalantly, to further emphasize her point. "My mind doesn't really comprehend things with such drastic meaning, so it's almost as if I have a limited range of emotion. And I figure that you guys are as clueless as I am as to how the body got there in the first place, it's too hard to figure out exactly what happened. And it seems that there are more important things to attend to."

It seemed like a decent enough excuse for her nonchalance. It wasn't as if she could tell the girl that she and the rest of the world was all just a dream and they didn't exist. That would be weird.

OOC: confused on what was dirty, though if you mean the syringes and gauze, i meant that they were unused and sterile. :) And no worries on the medical stuff, I don't know much except my visits in hospitals lol

*Illyana*

She wasn't even able to utter a sound before the Doctor had shoved forms in her face and walked out the door. This was turning into a very strange few days for her. What was intended to be a one night stay, seemed to turn into a living situation. She took a breath before assimilating all that had been said to her.

Why in the world was *she* signing these forms instead of the doctors. She supposed it didn't matter. Not like they were going to check to see if an Unwind was signing medical documents. With a scribble that had no resemblance to the English Alphabet on each indicated page, she wiped the pen down and placed it back on the desk.

What now? She realized she was hungry. Oddly feeling a sense of security in a hospital that would chop her up without a second thought, she knew that interns, nurses, doctors and more often had free lunch in cafeterias. She found the indicated signs in the laybryinth of corridors and found her way to a packed yet oddly quiet dining area.

She picked up some soup and bread and a water before waving her badge and sitting at a table facing the doorway. No one was going to bother her and she let herself savor the first hot meal in recent memory. Now what was she going to do about the situation she found herself in?

OOC: Nono. I thought you were being pervy and making fun of how Justine said, "Do with your fingers what you will." Which could really mean anything <_<. Never mind that though.

-Justine-

People. People. People. Some people, she thought, smirking. These people took their lives way too seriously. It was rather sad in a funny way. She repeated the conversation in her mind:

---

"WHAT?!? What do you mean I'm going to die!!! The woman heaved. "I have everything, all that I've worked for my entire life. A house, a career, money, everything!"

Justine tried very hard not to smirk at the beauty of the situation. Here was the tower of babel at it's finest. Man's pride crushed in the face of their mortality. She hid her laughter and faced the woman in a serious, calm manner.

"Now, Ms. Andrews, I cannot say that you have taken very good care of yourself. If you see here, the chart shows that your liver has deteriorated to the point where it could fail at any moment. Furthermore, your kidneys are almost dead completely, overrun by cancer cells. If you had decided to take a leave off of work and undergone chemotherapy, you probably would have had a good chance of living. Unfortunately, it's a bit too late right now."

Ms. Andrews Fumed. "Then why don't you go cut up one of those good for nothing teenagers and give me a kidney and liver? I can pay for that."

"Well, I would normally do that, but you have a high risk of anaphylaxis, so I'm afraid that any organ transplants are out of the question."

Tears of pure rage welled up in Ms. Andrew's eyes. She huffed, and looked away in injustice. Justine kept her gaze steady, unsure of what she would do next.

"My son."

"Hm?" Justine asked, curious.

"Take my Son's organs and give them to me."

Justine blinked. Well that was quite a surprise. It would work yes, but what sort of mother would kill their own son. Justine smirked openly. This was just too much.

"Well, we'll have to talk with your son first obviously, since it would kill him, but it would work." Justine looked off to the side, smiling. Ms. Andrews was so disgusting that Justine couldn't help but be amazed. It was beautiful.

---

Well, she would see how that turned out. But in any case, she was done with rounds now. She would visit the cafeteria and get something light to eat.

Lo and behold, there was her little apprentice hungrily scarfing down some soup and bread. She hated to be an annoyance, but the opinion of the girl didn't matter much to her anyways. They would have to see a lot of each other in any case. She got a sandwich and sat across from Ilyana.

"So, Dr. Toris, I never had the chance to ask. What do you think about all of this? I mean, you seem to be rather troubled as of late."

OOC: Lovely posts! Sorry I wasn't able to post until now ^^;

IC: Jill stared at the boy, was he going crazy? She stiffened, but then he let her arm go and she arched a brow. Slowly she observed him, he had muscle, he was no push over. She knew that much from his grip. But there was something wild and untamed about the teenager that made her shiver. Almost like Devon, she froze, Devon would be furious if he knew she left someone to die in an alley. Jill huffed, now she had to think of a way to get the guy to come.

"Well fine, I'll leave you here to die. I was just wondering if you were alright and wanted warm food, a nice place to sleep with no dangers and plenty of room." She straightened and shrugged, "some people just don't want a good life I suppose." Jill flicked her soaking hair from her face and glanced down at Jake, "later." she turned and marched toward the alley entrance-way, hoping he would follow.

-------

Anjali heard Alex scream and jumped a little, she turned around and saw him drop in. "Alex." she whispered, "hurry!" she gripped onto Laurence, though, he hadn't yet picked her up. "We have to go."

------

Amara finished his digging and rolled Earl into the grave, feeling sick as the body crunched. He winced, disgusted and took deep breathes. "Sorry Earl." he murmured, then he started to throw the dirt back in, by the time he was done he was covered in dirt and sweat. He heaved and looked to the sky, the sun beat down mercilessly and he was reminded of a similar summer-day, when he had been with his family...

The sun was pouring over the green grass, and even though the scene was beautiful, the heat was hard on the family of three that sat under one of the bigger trees in the park.

"Oh this weather is making me sick." Mrs. Johnson complained, Mr. Johnson just chuckled as he watched their son roll about in the grass. He was ten-years old today, and they were so proud of him. He had A's in all his classes and got along great with all the kids.

"Amara, son, your mother wants to go home. Are you ready?" Mr. Johnson called. Amara sprang up and grinned at his dad.

"Sure!" he ran toward his parents and threw himself into their arms. His mother laughed and his father did too. Amara grinned. "I love you." he heard his mother whisper...

Amara flinched away from the memory and felt the tears well up in his eyes, he rubbed them away with the back of his arm and threw the shovel down. They had to go.

-Jake-

Jake looked up at the girl. She seemed frozen for a moment. Jake narrowed his eyes at her.

"N-no wait." He said getting to his feet slowely. Dang...Am I really going to do this? I dont even know her. She could be trying to turn me in. He thought and sighed. I dont care any more. Just do it. If she turns on you, its your own fault. I can deffend myself well enough. From a gun? He shook his head. Whatever. "I'll take your offer." he said quietly looking rather distant. He decided to follow the girl.

Chelsea asked "Do you know anyone who could help me? I got this from some staff member. Do you know anything about it?"
She handed the sheet of paper the bellhop had given her.

OOC: Nope, it isn't my style to write that way :)

*Illyana*

Illyana stopped midair, the bread she was eating hanging there while she contemplated her answer. She took a bite and didn't try to hide her annoyance.

"Doctor," she started between bites, "let's drop the pretenses of you actually caring how I am. You will forgive me if I do not want to play. The real question is what do you intend now? I can keep playing the charade of your assistant, which even working in an Unwind hospital has its appeal." She placed her spoon down on the Styrofoam bowl.

Leaning back, she continued, "Or I can leave. And to answer you previous question, I knew the kid who we put in that most likely undeserving individual. So you could say I was bothered by it, yes."

She looked around discreetly, aware that no one was around them or showing interested glances. She turned back to the doctor, "I am going to suggest however, that if I am to stay, we change my last name; given how my parents wanted me killed and all." It amused her to think that given she was fourteen, she wasn't one of those bumbling chatters who had no sense in their heads.

-Justine-

She looked at the girl amusedly, studying her for a few seconds. Everyone took themselves so seriously. She shrugged. "Well seeing as I am giving you free room and board, it is quite clear that I do care about your well being on at least one level. Or else I wouldn't have picked you up in the first place." She leaned forward, resting her chin on the back of her hand. "I'm not heartless of course. I need a heart to be able to enjoy pain. Though if you really wish to die as a hobo, that's perfectly fine with me. Your choice either way."

"In any case, I do agree about your name. An identity reassignment, that is, a documented, not physical, procedure is in order if you would care so much as to remain here."

"As to the untimely fate of Mr. Simmons, all I can say is c'est la vie." She made a move as if to get up. "So. Is that all, Doctor... Well... No. Who are you again? I can't seem to remember your name." She smirked.

*Illyana*

"Do you always have to talk so fast without letting someone get a word in? Man!" Illyana massaged her temples in a attempt to stave off a mock headache.

"I still aint' buying that you care anything about me, but fair is fair. Just call me Claire Wilson. Generic enough as anything. As for my life on the street, you can be sure I wouldn't die as a result of starvation or any other ailment you see killing the homeless off these days."

She threw her trash away without a glance towards the doctor, "I'll be in the office if you need me. Those papers you wanted filled out are done, doctor". She spoke the words officiously and in her opinion, quite professional. For effect, she threw in a giggle. Girls her age did that sort of thing from what she remembered.

-Justine-

Well, so she was a teenager after all, prone to losing her cool when things didn't go her way. She had a lot to learn if she was going to learn the medical profession.

"Alright, Dr. Wilson. Stand by until I page you."

She watched the girl leave, and sighed, getting back to her sandwich.

OOC: XD Okies!

IC: Jill grinned at her success and looked over her shoulder at Jake, she saw the hesitation there and sighed. "Look, I won't attack you. I promise and neither will my friends." She rolled up her sleeve revealing the tattoo. "We're all outcasts." Jill marched off down the street, not waiting for him to catch up, she had just shown him what she was, and if he wasn't an Unwind, she would be in trouble and if he was...then he would follow.

Jill turned several streets down, into another back-alley, she walked down it and turned to the left at the end. At the end of this one there was nothing only a wall. She paused in front of the wall and pushed one of the stones, it slid easily away and a door slid open at her feet and she jumped back from it.

She looked up to see if Jake had followed her.
------

Robert ran a shaky-hand through his hair and took the piece of paper, "uh...no I don't. But... I don't really know anyone who would help you." He frowned, "I...could," he mumbled, "I don't want to just abandon a girl.. that would be terrible. And Unwinds have it really hard." he looked up at Chelsea. "I have to finish a report...but after that, I can help you. If you would like?"

Robert knew he wasn't really a brave man, in fact, he was normally a chicken, but lately all this unwind nonsense had been carried too far and he felt the need to stand up against it. Somewhere deep inside, a flame had formed and he was ready to battle back.

-----
Amara came around to the front of the house and jumped up onto the porch, he threw open the front door and his gaze fell on Harley and Julia. The inner part was dark and dusty thanks to all the sun that had burned his strange eyes.

"Time to move." he said.

OOC: Ok, waiting on the others ^^;

-Jake-

Jake's heart skipped a beat when he saw her tatoo. His lips parted slightly. He then pressed his lips together trying to hide his reaction. The girl was already on her way before he could say anything. He jogged to catch up to her. By the time he caught up, she was entering a secret door. He saw her look back at him. He stopped a few feet away from her. He cocked his head slightly at the scene.

"You are full of surprises aren't you?" he said with a strange smile.

Crystal was running. Running, like she had never run before. Where to, she didn't know. How could my parents do this to me? she asked herself, crying. How? and why?

Three days before.....
"Mom! I'm home!" said Crystal.
"Welcome back, honey." said her mom.
Crystal went to the kitchen, where her mom was working on dinner. "What's for dinner?"
"Pot Roast"
"Mmmm my favorite! thanks mom." She flashed a smile at her mom. Strangely enough, her mom smiled back, but it looked strained and forced. Crystal noticed this, but just shrugged. her mom was probably just tired from work.
She was going to go to the living room, but she heard her dad talking on the phone. Sweet! She loved to eavesdrop.
She settled down into her favorite eavesdropping place, and pretended to read. Suddenly, her dad said familiar words, but yet not familiar.
"Yes. I need a tatooist to come over tomorrow. I'm going to have my daughter unwound."
This sentence unsettled her so much, that she stopped listening and went to her room. Unwound. A dear friend had once gotten unwound. It had taken her a long time to get over it. She had never thought that her parents would have her unwound. She started to have memories of the happy days long ago. She was running on the bank of a lake, and her dad was chasing her. She was laughing. Her dad overtook her and they fell down together, laughing. then her dad said, "I love you, honey." She couldn't think of that memory any more. She cried.

Back to the present.....
Now she was running from the juvenile police. They had found her, but she had somehow managed to run away. She was running with her head down, not looking where she was running. Suddenly, she ran into something, and fell down hard. She looked up. A girl was sitting on the ground not too far from her. She guessed that was what she ran into. another girl and a guy were standing and staring. She slowly got up.
"Hi, um, sorry i ran into you." she said. "I'll be leaving now, bye!" Without another word, she turned to go.

OOC: btw, i ran into Julia. your turn, Strafe.

OOC: Well... no, you couldn't have run into Julia unless you ran into a house in the middle of a nowhere backwoods and somehow got inside. Well... I guess it works anyhow.

-Julia-

Amara walked in, finished with his grisly chore. "Time to move."

Julia sighed in relief. Now she didn't have to keep making excuses for her nonchalance. At least for the time being until Harley asked again. It hit her that Harley was a strange name, but she figured it would be too much to ask what her real name was. No matter.

"Alright, where to?" She got up and stretched her thin body, lithe and beautiful as she remembered it, of course. Not that it mattered, since she was already dead. Pity.

She turned. "And what are we goi--"

Boom.

Julia's eyes widened in shock as she staggered backwards from the force, losing her balance and falling to the floor. She took a moment to figure out what happened, and saw a girl standing, breathless, seeming to be running away from something. She fumed.

"Hey!" She said, cursing loudly. "What the **** do you think you're doing? Watch where the **** you're going you *****!!! Hey wait! Get back here!"

She got up from the floor, still burning with rage, and grabbed the girl by the forearm. She was young, and looked terrified, disheveled, and raggedy, running away from death. She looked exactly like an Unwind. That was strange. They had Unwinds in Purgatory too? She calmed down slightly, but still looked at the girl in disgust.

"How did you get in here anyways? Ugh. Look at you. You're disgusting."

Well that was an ironic thing to say, as Julia herself had large bloodstains on her frilly white dress shirt. How they got there, no one knows, but it didn't matter.

"Anyways, Amara," she said, completely ignoring the girl who ran into her. "I can drive Harley if you need me to. I'll just follow you."

-Justine-

A deadpan voice. "Is this seat taken?"

Justine looked up at the voice. It was Dr. Han, the Brilliant young Neurosurgeon. She smirked. "Go ahead, handsome." Dr. Han took his seat and began eating silently. Justine looked around, noticing that most of the other tables were empty. Why did Dr. Han want to speak with her?

Justine studied the man, just out of medical school, yet boasting a perfect record of advanced surgical procedures. From what she could guess, he was a cold intellectual who probably grew up in a restricting Asian household and took it badly. To avoid being unwound by his perfectionist parents, he became perfect. And Dr. Han was perfect. The only surgeon she knew that could beat her in time, accuracy and effectiveness. It was a shame that he didn't get to watch the beauty of brokenness in his patients. All of them were healed by his seemingly miraculous touch.

"So. What brings you over here, Dr. Han?" She said, leaning forward and looking directly at him in a sultry, flirtatious manner, the way she always did with any man. It helped her get her way.

The stern Asian man was not fazed in the slightest, and got right to the point. "There was a report of a murder in the news, Dr. De Lacey," He said calmly, avoiding eye contact.

Justine smirked. "Oh really? I've never heard of a news station reporting murders before," she said with a sarcastic bite.

Dr. Han's deadpan expression remained. "What I mean to say is, one of your former patients, a boy, or girl by the name of Julia Steinbeck is highly suspected in the murder of a truck stop mechanic. Well, that is to say, she actually did it, based on the evidence provided by multiple eyewitness accounts. Do you know anything about this, Dr. De Lacey?"

Justine shrugged. "Well, I heard about it, but I wouldn't know anything about it in particular. What my patients do is their own business."

"Yes, of course, that is how it usually goes. But the parents of the girl have filed a court case against the hospital and are claiming that your lack of surgical prowess made Julia who she is now." Dr. Han took a bite of his sandwich. "Now I know that you are very skilled as a surgeon, and these claims are false, but the hospital will most likely try and shift all the blame to you, to the point where you could almost be charged criminally, after a hefty financial loss. Even if that doesn't happen, it would be very messy, I'm sure."

Justine became a bit quiet. She still possessed her arrogant aura, but became pensive. She shrugged again. "In that case, I would hope that the God I don't believe in is real. Sounds like a terrible case of Karma to me." She laughed harshly. "Anyways why are you telling me all this? This is the first time I've ever heard you speak, and then you go and give me a giant speech."

Dr. Han shrugged. "Who knows?"

Justine smirked. "Alright then. Thank you very much Dr. Han."

She stood up and stormed out of the cafeteria, through the halls, and into her office. She thrust open the door, and rushed in, grabbing her coat, scarf and keys. She turned to Ilyana, and spoke in a rambling manner, too hurried to maintain her arrogant demeanor.

"Dr. Wilson, good to see you're here. In fact, I have an errand to run at the moment, and it might take quite a while. A week at most, in fact. In order for you to be able to remain here, you would have to come with me, or else they would kick you out. I'm your chaperone, you see. Anyways. I've already told the higher ups to give my patients to other doctors for an indefinite time period, so there's no worry."

She made out for the door, without waiting for the girl to respond. "Now let's go."

She rushed out of the hospital, to her car, started hurriedly, and drove off to the highway. She needed to visit a truckstop.

OOC: Oh my!! This is getting good, hey has anyone seen Vega? He needs to post. Or else I can't move on with the bombing incident. I'll PM him. BTW I spoke a bit on the NEW rpg thread for this, you can check it out...or not...w/e's but there is a new character that can be brought in real soon. Also, where has Mister gone off to? I need to PM three people now >>;

@Strafe: That's awesome, I can't wait to see what happens with Justine.

IC: Jill was relieved to see Jake had followed her, she smirked. "More than you know." She waved for him to go first. "I have to lock this. So you go ahead, I'll be right behind you." the rain poured down more heavily now and she frowned up at the sky. "C'mon man, I'm already soaked. I think I might catch a cold." She brushed her slick brown hair from her eyes. "You are going to need to dry off too."

---------

Amara was startled by the new-comer, how the heck did she get way out here? Where did she come from? And if she found them on accident, any juvey cop could find them on purpose. An icy cold shiver ran up his spine and he glanced at Julia.

"Its Harley's bike. Its up to her." He looked at Harley then at Crystal.

"Uh, we have to go now, no time to talk. Harley," he turned toher and placed his hands on her shoulders. "You drive the bike, I'll ride with Julia and...the newbie." he smiled softly. "It'll be OK." he whispered, only for her ears and gave her a gently squeeze before turning to Crystal.

"Well, now that you're here, you might as well join us." he looked her up and down, "after we find a good place to rest we can get you some new duds." He took her arm gently from Julia. "Come on, let's go to the car, then we can talk. I just want to get out of here." He led Crystal to the car, the backseat was already clean and he wasn't going to tell her about that incident, that was the last thing he needed.

-------
OOC: I forgot Robert's eye color >> Oh well.

Robert Dawson smiled weakly, "actually I do know what its like to rely on someone else." He sighed, relief flooded through him and a growing feeling of foreboding. "Ok, sure, go ahead. I've got three people to interview and then two more a little farther away, as soon as I'm done... I can help you." he stood up and turned ont he laptop, "go for it." he smiled and grabbed a change of clothes, he went into the bathroom and changed quickly, he stared at his reflection in the mirror, his gray eyes stared back from under his brown bangs. He took a deep breath and let it out again, then he straightened up and left the bathroom, he grabbed his coat and faced Chelsea.

"I'll be back in an hour or two. If you get bored, feel free to watch some TV. I'm glad to see you in your new clothes. You look better." Robert smiled, "Ok... wish me luck." he walked to the door, ready to go.

OOC: Everyone here is already ahead of the time-jump, I just need Vega and he can be too. ^^; Thanks for your dedication!

Chelsea looked down at her clothes sheepishly. She never really worried much about her looks because she was too busy trying to hide her age. Now that that was no longer possible, she wondered if she should stop trying to hide how beautiful she thought she was. I'm a child of God. I've got to have some beauty. she thought. At least, that was what the sisters always told her at the church where she'd volunteered as a kid.
She took out the address and opened up the laptop. She was surprised that the place was on mapquest! A place this secret? Granted, it only gave her the nearest city, but that was a good amount of hep. She felt happy tears sting her eyes. Maybe she could live to see 20 after all. Wouldn't that show her stupid mother who thought she was such a burden and wanted nothing to do with her. She walked over to the end table and searched for a pad of paper. Since this laptop didn't have a printer, she was going to have to write everything down.

Jake smirked slightly at her comment. He obeyed her command. He was already soaked and cold to the bone as well.

"Fine fine." he said impatiently as he entered the passage and stopped about 10ft away from the his entering point. He turned to watch her come in. If this was a trap he was going to try and be ready.

-Ashley-

Ashley was being escorted through a hallway. There was and ominous silence and every step she took felt like a thousand. She was scared and hopeless.
Sweat was forming on her forehead and she began to breathe heavily. Just when it seemed like she was going to pass out the soldier escorting her stopped at a door. The door was metal but covered in what appeared as childrens stickers. He reached for his key and unlocked the door.
The soldier then, with a sudden aggresivness pushed her into the room. The door was locked and the soldier walked away.
The room had padded walls and was illuminated only by a strange red light.

Chelsea finished copying and turned on the musicchoice Christian station. Then she ordered some room service breakfast.
She smiled. Finally it seemed she would be able to survive.

OOC: Despite what I said, I'm moving this shindig along and I'll try to get Lil_Ninja to post! Thanks Vega! ^_^

IC: Robert Dawson started his day by interviewing two random citizens on what they felt for Unwinds. The response was aggressive, they viewed the unwinds as anyone else did, criminals, not worth their while and evil to the core. Robert couldn't help but cringe at some of the terrible terms they used for Unwinds. People were bitter, but most of all, they were fearful. He could see that right away, that even though they spoke big, they were afraid of Unwinds, never knowing how "stable" they may be. When Robert finally made it to his final appointment he was shocked at who sat across from him.

A young woman, in her twenties watched him with hawk-like eyes, she was a military woman but she had agreed to be interviewed by the news reporter. Robert stifled his fear and smiled brightly, holding out his hand.

"Hello, I'm Robert Dawson, you must be..."

"Shardi." She replied with a thick Romanian accent.

"Shardee, Ok. I'm really glad you decided to let us interview you." He sat down across from her and ordered a coffee, the crisp woman watched him carefully, her thick black hair was yanked tightly into a bun on the back of her head and she wore a business suit with a skirt instead of pants. Her pale blue eyes were cold and distant, she almost looked bored.

"Alright, first question; How do you feel about the recent rise in Unwinds?" Robert asked.

Shardi took a moment to think, then slowly she opened her mouth, "truthfully, I am fearful."

"Fearful?" he eyes her, "a woman such as yourself?"

Shardi quirked a sharp brow, "not for myself, for the Unwinds."

Robert stiffened, "you are afraid for the unwinds?" he said, quizzically. Shardi nodded, "indeed, they are humans, no? They deserve a second chance like we all get." She shrugged, "is only fair."

Robert nodded shakily, all of this was being recorded, he had no reason to write it down. "Alright, How would you feel if an Unwind sought you out and asked you for help?"

"I would do what I had to."

"and if they threatened you?"

Shadi smirked, "heard the term 'you bite me, I bite back'?" she asked calmly. Robert nodded. "I would help the Unwind, or unwinds." She looked at him, daring him to challenge her. Robert smiled hesitantly. This continued, she gave him vague answers and he practically had to force the real answers out of her until the last question came.

"Last question, How would you deal with the Unwinds situation?"

Shadi sat utterly still for two good minutes, Robert had started to fidgit before she answered. Her pale hand covered the recorder and she leaned forward. "I would do everything in my power to wipe out that stupid law and make it so that not one more child would be hurt." Her eyes burned, "I would kill those who stood in my way to make a better world for the ones who will be inheriting this Earth. And I dare anyone to try and stop me."

Robert felt fear, not like had with Justine De Lacy that had been a queasy, sickening fear. This woman made his blood run-cold, she really would kill to make it better.

"I-I see." He stuttered, he turned off the recorder. "Thank you for your time." he smiled as best he could, shaking her dry hand with his slick one and quickly left, sweat dripping off him. He felt Shadi's cold eyes on his back as he rushed away.

Robert made it back to the hotel by 2 p.m. He went to his room and closed the door behind him, feeling as if he had just escaped death itself. "I'm back." he said.

------

It was moments like this that he lived for, he lived to make things a better place and to make the world right. The adults had no right to treat them this way and he refused to allow it. He looked down at the adults below him and in an instant, they were unconscious, he smirked and slid down the other side of the wall, his thick combat boots made perfectly for this type of thing. He landed without a sound, his bomb squad was already planting the deadly explosives and soon enough this whole place would blow sky high.

He slipped undetected through the unwind facility, he had been watching this place for months, he knew the routine they had for Unwinds, they all got put "away" when the last of the sun-rays flickered out. He walked slowly down the row of "rooms" they put the teens in. He was lining the doors with tiny explosives that he had the button to. They would barely make a sound, it wouldn't attract any attention anyway, all the guards were dead. After he finished he let them pop and all the doors sprang open, an emergency function.

He slowly walked down the hall, "Unwinds." he called, "Unwinds, come to me." Many faces peered out of their rooms and stared wide-eyed at the teenager who stood like a warrior, his shoulders held back, his stance ready for anything and his eyes, those strange eyes piercing every soul that looked into them.

"I have come to save you, but we must be quick, if you want to live you will come with me now. If you don't care about life any longer then stay." He watched them all. "There are 35 of you, and all of you can live. But you must come with me now."

"You're Devon Clary." A girl breathed, her eyes wide, "I've heard of you..."

Devon smirked, "I am." He turned to a door that no one had appeared at,but he didn't approach it yet, "at this very moment, my team is rigging up bombs. They will blow in ten minutes after I give them the signal. By then, we should be far gone. Are you with me?"

The unwinds ran out of their rooms, forming a huge group. Devon smiled, "good. We'll be on our way in a moment." He pointed at the door, "who is in there?"

"A new one." Someone piped up, "she just arrived today."

Devon nodded, "Alright," he strode to the room and opened the door, inside was a girl, matching the description given to him by that desperate soldier. He cocked his head, "Ashley." he said, "We need to go." His piercing green eyes held hers and he grabbed her up quickly, pulling her from the room. "Lets move!" he ordered. The unwinds complied willingly, they snuck carefully out of the rooms and to the rope ladder that had been lowered on the wall, one-by-one they climbed up and over and were directed into a huge moving van. Soon they were all over, Devon looked at Ashley, "lets go." He pushed her up the ladder and followed suit. Devon received the safety signal and jumped into his van, he pressed the button and they were gone. No trace of the Crosshape was there, and when he looked in the side-mirror, all he could see was a huge mushroom cloud looming up into the sky. Devon grinned, they had won.

OOC: Vega, I'm slightly controlling Ashley to get her out of here, I won't make her say/do much. ^_^ But by all means, write her reaction to all of this XD

------

Jill slipped down and shut the door, she grabbed her flashlight and turned it on Jake, "what? Don't trust me?" she asked sarcastically and walked past him, she walked down a dark hallway, the flashlight guiding the way. "Don't worry about us, we only want to keep people safe. Honestly, we wouldn't kill you unless we had a reason." she glanced back at Jake. "Do we have a reason?" she inquired, not expecting an answer. Jill walked and walk, leading him through hall after hall, it was a maze of confusion and disorientation. Suddenly a light loomed ahead of them and Jill quickened her pace, "this is the main hall." she said, she came into the light and in this room stood a good 50 teens and pre-teens, all gabbing and laughing, fire-places lined the walls and were all lit.

"Is Devon back?" she asked one of her group members. He blinked, "I think so." He pointed at Jake, "who?"

Jill rolled her eyes, "don't ask, I need to take hm to Devon first." she murmured, she looked at Jake, "you are safe now. Do you have name?" She cocked her head, she still wasn't entirely sure this guy was stable, her guard was up but she had to call him something. "I'm Jill."

OOC: ahhh.... Sooooo sorrryyy... I haven't had internet for more than a week!
If I've skipped anyones posts or anything, feel free to give me a kick and let me know :]

Strafe, it's totally cool if you use her! I'm done using her, so do what you want.

IC: In one swift move, Laurence picked Anjali up and was following Alex down the tunnels. They had to find a way out of here. Fast.
As they ran through the many tunnels, he started realizing the fact that he had been down these tunnels many times before. His gang used them to transport various.. Illegal items from place to place.
"Hang on, I know where to go!" He whispered to Alex, taking the lead.
He led them down various winding tunnels, and what seemed like hours of being in almost complete blackness passed (besides a flashlight to guide their way) they quite literally saw light at the end of the tunnel.
Laurence stuck his head out to survey the area, and after determining that it was safe, he stepped out into what looked like a back way to a sewage plant on the outskirts of the city. As he walked further down the path, the most putrid smell wafted through the air, gagging him. "It smells like a whole zoo died!" He mused, then turned to Alex. "So where is this Graveyard you spoke of?"
As a moment passed he had a realization. He was still holding Anjali. He didn't move to put her down though. A smirk formed across his face as he glanced down at her with a wink.

~~

Harley thought about Julia's answer. anti-nervous disorder, eh? Seems logical enough.. People did have those things wrong with them, right?
She felt panic at Julia's words as she slowly rose from the couch, her eyes widening considerably. She'd rather swim with piranhas than ride in the car with that loon; and after Julia's rather colorful display with the newcomer, she noted that the piranahs would be more cordial than her.

But yet again, Amara saved the day. "Thank you.." She whispered to him before he let go. She got her keys and headed out the door, promptly putting her helmet on and climbing on to her motorcycle. "I'll follow you." She told Amara as she started the engine up.
