Tsubasa

Postby Mangafanatic » Thu Apr 29, 2004 2:26 pm

Wow. . . has anybody else heard of this manga? I saw it in the book store and read it today. It's a CLAMP manga, and it contains like-- every other CLAMP character in creation. It seems CLAMP made up this story and inserted character they'd made for other stories like Chobits, Card Captor Sakura, and Rayearth.

So has anybody else read this one? What did you guys think.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

So you've read this one? It looks pretty good. I read the first one. I might buy it. It's a really big manga for eleven dollars.

It was fun seein' little Sakura all grown up.

Ahhh...Tsubasa is awesome! I've only read the first chapter so far (I like to make the enjoyment last), but I'm already intriugued. I'm so looking forward to seeing all the CLAMP character appearances. For a CLAMP fanatic and Sakura fan like me this is just an awesome manga. The art is great and the storyline looks intriguing. It's neat to see my favorite characters in different roles and settings.

I didn't really see why it got that 13+ rating. Was I forgetting something?

Mild language, violence, and a minor amount of blood.

I saw this in Barnes & Nobles today and bought it.
It looked and sounded interesting.

I picked this title up and looked it over when I saw it too. It looked very interesting, and I meant to ask our resident CLAMP experts about it ... but then I forgot to remember.

I don't know of any, but I bet you could find one if you just skippied over to google. I'm pretty sure it came out this month so there might not be much info out yet. If you have any questions, you could just ask them here. Several of us have read it.

Aren't they the same story--- just from different perspectives?

Elric is right.

Tsubasa and xxxHolic are two different series which cross-over in at least the first volume of each.

It's a series I think. . . I know there's gonna be more than what's released right now.

I can't say EVERY Clamp character is in it, but there's alot of them.
