Soran Spills: Phantom Unmasked Part II

Postby Phantom_Sorano » Sat Mar 13, 2010 12:52 am

I love when these types of threads come around; they are so much fun to participate in and to ask others. :)

Anywho, this will be my second attempt at this. I been on the site for a few years, and I enjoy the questions and comments everyone shares.

I will answer anything and everything to the best of my ability....from silly to serious. So please....ask away!

1. I know there have been several versions of Phantom of the Opera. Which one do you like best?
2. Which Rumiko Takahashi title do you like best?
3. What's your favorite Disney song?

General question out of the way first since I haven't talked to you in forever.

How have you been? <33

Then, some fun ones:

Did you draw your avatar?
What is your favorite color and why?
And do you like much anime music? If so, which songs?

Wow....I actually have questions!

@Rock:

1. It is hard to say really. I have seen all but the 1943 version. I think I would have to go with the original 1925 version. It captures Leroux's vision and Lon Cheney is a superior actor.
2. Again, tough question. I greatly enjoy all of Takahashi's work. Hmm....in ranked order it would be Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha, then Ranma 1/2.
3. I really enjoy the score 'Decision' from Mulan, composed by Jerry Goldsmith. As for Disney song as in sing-a-long.....probably 'Go the Distance'. It's sort of my pep songs at times. ^_^*

@ Miss Mary:

I am in an interesting place right now. I am proud to say I recently bought my own car, but am faced with the daunting issue of finding an affordable place to live and another job within the next two weeks. I'm a bit stressed with that and school, but I am relying on God to help me through. :)

1. I did draw my previous avatar. I did a quick sketch, inked, then painted it with watercolor. It didn't do so well with my camera however. Haha!
2. My favorite color is indigo. It sounds odd, but that is a reason why I have a preference to it. It is a deep, creative color....plus it's pretty.
3. I am a huge fan of anime music. I listen to anything I can get my hands on really. Limewire has become a big friend with helping enlarge my j-pop library. Lol.

@ Mr. Rock:

1. Who hasn't seen that movie? It's a classic! Wow....I haven't seen it ages......great movie.

2. Ugh......I really don't know. I never played many baord games growing up. I'm just now catching up (My boyfriend loves playing them, so he makes me.) Hmm....probably Risk. I have a thing for world domination.....hehe.....it was even my highschool superlative. I enjoy games where I can strategize.....and take down others with an iron fist. >:)

Wow....I did not expect to get many responses, but already it has come down to my close friend being the questioner....Gosh, I must be boring! *sigh*

@ Rocky:

1. Yes, I do....=o_o=...it is still a shock to me myself. Hmm....describe him....well....there is and is not a great deal to say. He grew up in a very different situation than myself (thank goodness) and lives in a very peaceful, Christian atmosphere. He is a devote Christian that really knows his Bible; he finds it hard to believe my history down Religion Lane and is preplexed by my beliefs. We both are polar opposites of each other in many ways. He is left-brained; I'm right-brained. I am outgoing and lively whereas he is reserved and extremely shy. He relies on logic while I base my decisions on feelings. It's wonderful because we balance each other out so well. I don't know, I am just extremely happy that God put us in each other's paths. We both find it funny that we met each other through our English class that either of us should have not been in.
2. Hmmm......good question. I don't know really. I have been watching the final season religiously, so I am not sure if I would want to wish on it. o_O

I've noticed God seems to like getting people together who are different. Good luck to you both!

@ Rock:

1. I have actually, although its been a good six years. I do, however, enjoy her work.
2. I have. Opryland, or what was Opryland, used to be a forty-five minute drive away. I never actually got to go to the park, though. My parents were against it. :(
3. Fuji. It's a small Japanese place....or Maggie Moos.
4. Secomdary education. I haven't narrowed down on a particular subject, but I have always been interested in that age group.

@Miss Lilic,

1. Disneyland! I LOVE DISNEY! I have been twice in the past five years; both time for preformances. It's so much fun. I like Universal well also. I cannot remember which park, but one has a kiddie ride called the "Magical Unicorn".....I rode it 57 times in a row. Haha!
2. Wow...that's a tough one. I have many favorites than range over different anime. Of Miyazaki, Calsipher, Sophie, and Kiki are my favorites. Umm.....some others include Takahashi's Yotsuya, Godai, Miroku, and Hopposai. I don't know....@_@
3. Hmmm.....I love Japanese, Italian, and Mexican. My biggest weakness though is sugar. I am addicted to ice cream and doughnuts! lol
4. Yes and no; it's rather strange. Biologically, I have a younger brother, two half-brothers and a half-sister. However, I am both estranged and disowned, so I have no real "family" or "siblings".
5. Ehhh....not really. I try to dress to myself, so my style is very....out there. Usually I wear distressed jeans, something with a bright color of bold print, and tank, and an elaborate hair piece...like feathers or a flower...sometimes a miniature top hat. I'm very much into the cheap-casual-trendy look.

1. Who are your favorite painters?
2. What's your favorite Shakespeare-inspired movie (like that Romeo and Juliet movie starring Leonardio DeCaprio, or that Hamlet movie with Mel Gibson, or West Side Story, which is basically Romeo and Juliet in the ghetto)?

@ Rockie:

1. Hmmm.....I have so many. It is hard to say..... I am greatly inspired by Impressionists...so people like Dali are big with me. I also appreciate Van Gogh, and many of the others of that period aswell as the Baroque.
2. Hands down 'Throne of Blood' by Akira Kurosawa. How can you beat Macbeth with samurai?!

@ Miss AC:

1. Hmmm.......what a question. I could say the numerical number, but you would never believe me to live up to it. I will say that I am neither a senior citizen nor a teenager, but I lie in the moody greys in between. I did turn a year older recently.....^_~
2. Indigo. It's such a rich and unusual color.
3. At this point, any food is my favorite! Hahaha! (I'm starving!) More seriously, I am very fond of Japanese, Italian, and Mexican foods. Also, I am a huge junkie for sweets and coffee...especially doughnuts and ice cream.

Why do you call yourself a Byronic hero?
Why did you resurrect your first avatar?
Have you ever listened to Tori Amos?

@ Rockie:

1. Man...you ask such stumping questions, J! Hmm....how do I put this.....the Byronic hero is generally classified as a tragic, romantic figure; they are neither accepted nor are they really a hero....characters such as Edward Rochester and Bruce Wayne in the 'Dark Knight' are my best examples. I guess it is because I am rather an anti-hero type of person with an...interesting past. I don't know....it suits me I suppose.
2. Again, I don't really know. I was growing old of the former one and simply decided to use me old one; it's one of the first avatars I had when I first joined the site four years ago.
3. Not that I can recall....o_O

1. You're a Batman fan? COOL! Who's your favorite Robin?
2. Who played Batman best--Adam West, Christian Bale, or Michael Keaton?
3 Who made a better Joker--Jack Nicholson, Caesar Romero, or Heath Ledger?
