Status Bar

Postby Bobtheduck » Thu Apr 01, 2004 1:34 am

Windows Xp has the status bar turned off in IE and in the shell by default... I'm always turning it on by hand. I really depend on the status bar. Is there any way to force it to always be on?

This might work:

In the shell, turn on the status bar
Now go to Tools>Folder Options
Click the "View" tab
Click the button that sez "Apply to All Folders"

Also, just to beat a dead horse a little more,

yeah. Firefox has a really cool option that lets you tell it NOT to allow websites to disable that status bar. I swear, one of the sites I have to use at work turns off the status bar on a SECURE site. OK, so... HOW DO I KNOW THAT IT'S SECURE IF I CAN'T SEE THE LITTLE KEY ICON?!?!?!

Oh... Sorry. Didn't mean to rant...

That's exactly what I was going to say, but since you beat me to it I'll just second that.

Lil bro Zilch can be the best man, it'll be an explosive ceremony. Everyone is invited! We'll serve poutine at the reception, Straylight can DJ, and Shatterheart can start a mosh pit!
