Migraine

Postby Sheenar » Fri Jul 11, 2008 3:11 pm

Please, please pray for me. Today during my ASL exam, my vision started getting blurry. I finished my exam and walked home--it was almost like walking blind. My head hurt so bad and still does --it's AWFUL.
I took 2 Excedrin at 1:00 and laid down for 2 hours. Still the same. I looked up home remedies and tried eating Fritos (salty snack) and tried freezing a towel and putting it on my head. Nothing worked.
I called the student Health Center and talked to a nurse --she talked to a doctor and he wrote me a prescription for some medicine to help me sleep and to help the migraine go away. I only have $10 until I get paid on the 15th and it was almost 5 when I called (the clinic closes at 5) and I would not have been able to walk there in time.
Thankfully, one of the nurses was willing to come and bring the medicine to me at my dorm. And the cost will be put on my student account and I'll be able to go online and pay it when I get paid. Praise God.
Please pray that this migraine will go away (I've had migraines last for 2 or 3 days)--because tomorrow we have an event at my church for the Women's Ministry that is one of my favorite events each year.

Thank you!:)

Dear Jesus,

Please heal Sheenar & help reduce the stress she's under.

In your name we pray,
Amen.

Sheenar, also try drinking more water, sometimes when we're dehydrated we get headaches like the one you did. My dad did too. Hopefully that'll help a little & glad to hear you were able to get the medicine. May you sleep well tonight.

I do drink plenty of water (and I did). This migraine was from not getting enough sleep this week--totally my fault. Now I remember why I set my bedtime to 10 or 11...

After lying down for 9 1/2 hours, I feel better. The medicine seems to have helped. I'm still kind of headachey, but not nearly as bad. I'm just now finally able to eat something --I had tried to eat some strawberries around 9, but was way too nauseous from the migraine. So yay, I finally get to eat dinner (at 1:30 in the morning...:P )
