geekside hosting

has anyone here ever used geekside hosting? (http://www.geekside-hosting.com)

ive been trying to find a hosting place and they look good, but want to know if anyone has used the before and what they think.

I use free hosting pages... but it's only for like max 30 mb...

but for bigger capacity geekside looks cheap to me...

That's a pretty sweet lookin' deal there. If you'd rather not host your own system, that looks like a good choice. $30.00/mo is VERY good for what you are getting there!

Although... They don't say you get root access, so my guess is you don't get it. You may want to ask... If you need it.

It looks like a good host -- seems to yeild good results on the webhostingtalk forums search.. I say go for it :)

does anyone know if user accounts are the same things as subdomians?

You'll probably get a subdomain with each user account -- they're using Ensim. I'd recommend asking the hosts how the subdomain system works though.

User accounts are usually used to control access to hidden parts of the site, and provide certain services like SSH, FTP and email to people other than the webmaster.
