I love Hillsong United.
And I love that song From the Inside Out. Actually I love all their versions of the songs they do. Although sometimes I don't want rock worship. I still like the hymns ^_^

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost it's grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Brought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stan

...Uh... XD; This song wasn't meant to be a worship song... and it may sound silly... but... one song from The Lion King II really just makes me think of God (though it's actually supposed to be about Mufasa I think). The refrain goes:

He lives in you
He lives in me
He watches over
Everything we see
Into the water
Into the truth
In your reflection
He lives in you

It doesn't help that it's sung like a kind of gospel song... But that's just me. ^^; Sorry if this is spam; I know you were asking for worship/praise songs specifically...

I love the worship songs by Hillsong. The first time I heard them I just felt that I had to lift up my voice, and sing. They were the ones that God used to inspire me to worship in Spirit, and in Truth.
Since I like so many worship songs by different songwriters I'll just give some of the recent ones I remember.
Lord of Lords and Hosanna,by Brooke Fraser(Hillsong)
Wonderful Maker,by Jeremy Camp
You Never Let Go,by Matt Redman
I forget a lot of the songs names that I listen to so I gotta pick them up better next time.

Be Thou My Vision

Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Actually, Dreamwalker there are a lot of secular songs that could count as good music for worshipping the Lord. You just have to know where to look. Not all secular music is bad, you know.:thumb: Ever heard "Spirit in the Sky"?

Can we put hymns? Here's one of my favorites:
"How Great Thou Art
O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou Art!
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. I appointed you to be a prophet of all nations."

...I found another Disney song that reminds me of God, our relationship with Jesus in particular. o_o; Strange. ...Strange, but AWESOME!

Two Worlds
Put your faith in what you most believe in
Two worlds, one family
Trust your heart
Let fate decide
To guide these lives we see

A paradise untouched by man
Within this world blessed with love
A simple life, they live in peace

Softly tread the sand below your feet now
Two worlds, one family
Trust your heart
Let fate decide
To guide these lives we see

Beneath the shelter of the trees
Only love can enter here
A simple life, they live in peace

Raise your head up
Lift high the load
Take strength from those that need you
Build high the walls
Build strong the beams
A new life is waiting
But dangers no stranger here

No words describe a mothers tears
No words can heal a broken heart
A dream is gone, but where theres hope

Somewhere something is calling for you
Two worlds, one family
Trust your heart
Let fate decide
To guide these lives we see

What's even stranger is that I just downloaded that song on iTunes last night, lol. O__o; My brother and I were watching the movie the other day, so I was reminded of how much I love the music in it. Didn't realize how much the lyrics really do match our relationship with God, though.

I also watched The Prince of Egypt with my family earlier, so obviously the songs made me think about my faith. XD My favorite one is still "When You Believe", since it's just so pretty.

As far as actual worship-type artists, I love:

"Hungry (Falling On My Knees)" by Kathryn Scott
"Everyday" by Hillsong United
"Birth Revival", a song that the youth group at my old church RARELY ever did...
"Jesus, You Gave It All", "The Potter's Hand", "Hear Our Praises", "This Is How We Overcome", and "That's What We Came Here For"... all by general Hillsong
"Your Grace Is Enough" by Chris Tomlin
"O Praise Him (All This For A King)" by David Crowder Band
...and a few more that I'm sure I've forgotten at the moment.

Now... as far as stuff by Christian bands, we've got:
"My Refuge" and "Carried Away" by Sonicflood
"Come My Way" by Skillet (I feel like I'm doing the waltz with God every time I hear this song, btw...)
"Red Sam" by Flyleaf
"It's You" by Fireflight
"Mayday" by Subseven
"24" by Switchfoot
"Hands" by The Benjamin Gate
"Vast" by Lost Ocean
"Beautiful" by Luna Halo
"Refuge (In Conclusion)" by The O.C. Supertones
"Every New Day" by Five Iron Frenzy

I'm sure I'll remember more, if I really thought about it...

Since it says 'favorite' implying just one, I have to go with Madly by Steve Fee.

Madly in love with You and I'm madly in love with You
Let what we do in here fill the streets out there
Let us dance for You let us dance for You
All of my life and nothing less I offer to You My Righteousness
I love the way You cover me
You give me life You make me free
You love me with a love like a mother to a child
Your love is big and Your love is wild
What can I do but sing for You
and shout for You and dance for You
I run to You when I think about what You've done
Your love is better than anything...I love you

Take Me In

Take me past the outer courts
Into the secret place,
Past the brazen altar,
Lord, I want to see Your face.
Pass me by the crowds of people,
The priests who sing Your praise;
I hunger and thirst for Your righteousness
And it’s only found in one place.

Take me in to the Holy of Holies,
Take me in by the blood of the Lamb;
Take me in to the Holy of Holies,
Take the coal, cleanse my lips,
Here I am.
Take the coal, cleanse my lips,
Here I am.

From The Inside Out
by Hillsong United
album: United We Stand (2006)

A thousand times I've failed
Still Your mercy remains And should I stumble again
I'm caught in Your grace
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame

Your will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself
In bringing You praise
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame

In my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out
Lord let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside out

Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart
Is to bring You praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out

I have to second this song... It is wonderfully stirring for those of us who are broken inside and need healing and renewal. Also on my faves list (though not technically Praise and Worship...) are Flood by Jars of Clay, Let Go by Grey Holiday, Love is not a Fight by Warren Barfield, and oh, gosh, several hundred others!! As for actual P&W... Open the Eyes of my Heart by Sonic Flood, God of Wonders by Third Day, oh and the spectacularly awesome song by Phil Joel "The Man You Want Me to Be"... I sing it in prayer quite often, because I want to be who He wants me to be...

I love love love love Jars of Clay. I consider them worship/praise even though you wouldn't sing them in church. Because they are still praising God you know?
I have a looser definition of what is a praise/worship song than most I think.XD
