IMO:

cowbop-7 (cool characters, but points lost for american style storytelling)
FA-10
Haibane-7 (good, but slow)
NaTHaT-9 (awesome, but also a little slow)
Sam X- I watched this nearly 10 years ago, so I don't really remember, but I'd say probably 8-9
Kino's Journey-7 (solid stories, but very melancholy and slow)
haruhi-10
death note-9
bleach-8-9 (never really got into the anime)
FLCL-8-9 (another old one)
Neon Genesis-10 (only if you include the movies)
spirited-9 (not a 10 simply because its just a movie)

Actually, most of these shows I haven't seen all the way through. The only one I've finished is Cowboy Bebop, and I'd give it...an 8.

Haven't seen most of this stuff, but Kanon 2006 is basically my favorite anime ever, so 10.

Kept it down to ones I've seen in entirety (or entirety to date). We must have similary tastes, though, because all of these are high on my list of good Anime.

8 Cowboy Bebop
7 Fullmetal Alchemist
7 Eureka Seven
7 Ghost in the Shell: SAC
10 Now and Then, Here and There
9 The Melcncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
8 The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
8 BLEACH
9 FLCL
9 Neon Genesis Evangelion
9 Kamichu!
9 Spirited Away

Incidentally, the original GITS movie would be another 9, and possibly a 10. I hartily recommend it
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

Maokun: Ninjas or Pirates? (Vikings are not a valid answer, sorry)

I don't watch japanese cartoons because they remind me of american cartoons, that's redundant. Besides, as I said: "IMO". I wasn't scolding producers or anything, I just simply said I don't like american style story telling, is that okay?

Is this a bad time to mention Japanese Manga rose out of American comics after WWII?

Sorry, but I hated Spirited Away. Too much otaku hype and I was bored to death, when I watch it. But people should know that I'm not a big fan of Miyazaki movies that much anyway. There are only three of his movies that I like and that's it. I'm more of a fan of Makoto Shinkai work, then I am of Miyazaki work.

Cowboy Bebop - 7. It was an awesome show but some parts of it were rather boring.

Fullmetal Alchemist - 6. Once again, awesome show but it got really odd near the end and I just lost interest in it completely. This is for the show only, not the manga.

Eureka Seven - 8. Between the confusing teenage hormones of the main character and confusing plot, I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The ending was amazing and the (sometimes odd) characters actually grew.

BLEACH - 5. Sorry, but the plot just feels so Shonen stereotypical, it's just really not all that great. Awesome characters, but in the end, it's just Shonen fodder.

FLCL - 9.5. I don't care what aaaanybody else says. I LOVE this show because it is a fun show and that's all it really is. Yes, it doesn't make sense, but I love the animation and music and characters and just about everything about it.

Ultra Maniac-7

Most of these I have not watched all the way through, so I withold comment:

However,

Tokyo Mew Mew- The manga, about a 7. It had high and low spots.
The Japanese Anime, 8.5
The atrocity called Mew Mew Power- 0, or less.

Magic Knight Rayearth- Great stuff in its time, 9 (I have seasons 1 and 2 in my purchased collection.)

My favorite all-time Shoujo anime is actually SuperGALS, and another show I suspect, but am not sure is considered shoujo, Angelic Layer, gets a big thumbs up, too.

Fullmetal Alchemist-9.5 (Very good in my opinion.)
Eureka Seven-8 (About average, but was at times really good.)
The Melcncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-7 (It was okay, a little too much fan service.)
Death Note-9 (Really good.)
BLEACH-9 (Im still hooked.)
FLCL-7 (Below average, but it was at times funny.)
Neon Genesis Evangelion-7 (Reason: I really liked the mech fighting. I didn't like the last 5 episodes or so though and also some of the things that were in it. Im not going into specifics. Please no discussions on this.)
Spirited Away-9 (Miyazaki. 'nuf said.)

Remember these are just my opinions. Everyone has different ones.

I can only honestly rate the ones I have seen:
Cowboy Bebop would be a 8.5
Fullmetal Alchemist would be a 8.3
Eureka 7 would be a 9.5
Ghost In The Shell:Stand Alone Complex would be a 9.7
Haibane Renmei would be a 10
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya would be a 10
Death Note would be a 3.5(I saw the manga at Barnes & Nobles and thought it was actually better)
Bleach would be a 9.7
FLCL would be a 8.7
Neon Genesis Evangelion would be a 10
Spirited Away would be a 9.7

Ok in all honesty the Death Note is based on the first episode,if I have a chance to see the sub I might change it but as it stands the pilot earns it what it got.A very poor pilot indeed!:eyeroll:

Eureka Seven: 8.5

Haibane Renmei: 10!

Kino's Journey: 9.5

The Melcncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - No comment, could've been a great show if it not for all the character groping for some reason that just really disturbed me...could be because I'm a girl. :D

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time 10!

Kamichu! 9.5 (would've been a perfect ten if it hadn't of started out so slow)

Spirited Away: 10! (I love both Miyazaki and Shinkai movies so I am pretty biased)

CardCaptor Sakura: 10

Full Moon Wo Sagishite: 7. They changed it too much from the manga.

Fancy Lala: 9

Wedding Peach: 5

Chance Pop Session: 8.5

Peach Girl: 8

Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch: 10!

Magic Knight Rayearth: 9

Saint Tail: 7.5

Pretty Cure: 10!

Ultra Maniac: 10!

What can I say: I'm a sucker for the cutesy animes. >__<

Cowboy Bebop -8.5

Eureka Seven -7.5: It kind of lost momentum in the middle, but ended well and there was some real character development.

Death Note -Haven't finished it yet, but enjoying it very much so far, the episodes I’ve seen get an 8.5.

BLEACH -9: The fillers and the bount arc (that can also be seen as a filler, i guess) would stop it from getting 10.

Neon Genesis Evangelion -6: I really don't remember much about it, since I saw it ages ago, but it's okay.

Spirited Away -9

Haven't seen any of the others.

Full Metal Alchemist - 9/10 (point taken off for atrocious ending)
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo 8.5/10 (points taken off for slightly disappointing ending and various slight discrepancies throughout)
Haibane Renmei - 10/10!!!!!!
Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal - 9/10 (And this is an incredible compliment, because this is the only anime I would rate so highly when I saw an extremely bad-quality version of it. Point taken off for slight confusion a couple times.)
Spirited Away - 9/10 (point taken off for...well, it's not completely perfect, but I can't pinpoint what exactly I would change XD)

Haven't seen most of those but what I did:

Cowboy Bebop - 8 A wee overrated in my opinion but still awesome. Was a bit too episodic for my taste.
Ghost in the Shell: SAC - 6 I really didn't like this one much. I was bored to tears. Never saw the second season.
Death Note haven't seen much of but what I have I was really interested in seeing the rest.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - 10 I dunno, I loved it. I went through clenical depression though so I could identify with the three main pilots a lot which bumped the rating up a little. Prefer series ending to movie though.
Spirited Away - 4 Overrated garbage IMO. Really don't like anything from Miyazaki or whatever his name is. Overrated movies and an overrated director.

Nate, Gargoyles was an awesome show! Very deep.

I've only seen a few of these titles...

Fullmetal Alchemist 9 --I agree that the ending was horrible --the manga is so much better
Spirited Away 7 --this movie is weird as heck, but I love it
Death Note 8 --good story, but it got old towards the end --N is just not as cool as L

That's it. Now I'm really interested in checking out Cowboy Bebop since it's so highly recommended...
