Spoiler box bug.

Postby Felix » Wed Nov 21, 2007 4:00 pm

I noticed something when I was writing a spoiler box for the Super Mario Galaxy thread in Gamers Galore.

For the sake of explanation, I'll replace bracketts with these dudes { } so you can see the code.

Ok, so when I wrote the code like this everything was fine:

[color="Orange"]{spoiler}spoiler text{/spoiler}[/color]

Which looks like this with the real code:

[spoiler]spoiler text[/spoiler]

But when I tried to specifiy what the spoiler was about...

[color="Orange"]{spoiler=spoiler box}spoiler text{/spoiler}[/color]

The spoiler text was still legible in the box, like so:

[spoiler=spoiler box]spoiler text[/spoiler]

I thought this was something that should be brought up so it could be fixed sometime in the near future. Thanks for your time!

You are correct; bug noted. We have done a variety of things with backgrounds on various parts of the site, so this is probably an unintended consequence.

Yeah, I already fell prey to this in an older thread I was reading about a movie I hadn't seen, I believe... I looked away from the spoiler as soon as I realized what I was reading, so it wasn't that bad, but it could have been, and it may be in the future.
