Halo 3, how do you think it will be?

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

It's everything I thought it would be. A very good Halo game. I've not tried multiplayer yet because my XBL is offline for the moment (trying to get wireless to work).

Waited 10 hours in line, and ever single hour has been worth it (fourth in line out of roughly 300, if'n you were wondering). I'm not saying that OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGMYGAMEOWNXORSJ00RLYF3, but it is very, very, very, very, very, VERY good.

Four hours in line, man? Holy crap, did you go to the Midnight thing? I just went to Target the day of and picked it up. I don't think it was even the Target I made my reserve at.

Wow we got quite a shipment of them in at where I work. I was even called in yesterday, possible to have another person on hand (but couldn't go). We got maybe... around 50 copies in? Some were put aside for presales and even got a few of the collector's tins in. Then again, there was a one-day only sale (which I'm sure our Walmart competitor matched the price too), but I guess I'll see today what scraps are left over... IF there's actually ones left over...

I still have warm fuzzies from the marathon run-through for the story line. If years of video games have taught you nothing, always remember to watch the credits - you will almost always be certainly rewarded.

If you beat it on Legendary and then wait until after the credits...

Holy crap. If they are hinting at what I think they are, I will be an amazingly happy person.

According to Wikipedia:
If the player waits through the closing credits, a scene reveals that Master Chief and Cortana have in fact survived, after being separated from the Arbiter as a section of The Dawn tore off during the slipspace jump. Drifting helplessly through space, Cortana enables a distress beacon while Master Chief climbs into a cryo chamber to await a rescue which Cortana warns may take "years." If the game is completed on the highest difficulty level (Legendary), the hulk of The Dawn is seen after an unknown period of time drifting towards a planet.
I...really wish I knew what all that meant. I've probably spoiled the ending for myself to the extent of the ending to Star Wars haven't I?

Hmmm, I have just finished the Halo 3 on single player, I enjoyed it alot more than the previous versions.

However, did you know that before microsoft bought bungie they where makeing a version of halo on the mac?

It is pretty funny to look at, includes some violence and bad language.

Aw man. We got this game on release night, and I didn't get to play it until yesterday after school, for about 3 hours.

Simply amazing, and yet again, shows my noobish videogaming skills. I am currently going through Single Player mode on Easy, and having a bit of difficulty (blame the CP! It makes me a bit slower) Otherwise I'm having fun, it's amazing for stress relief.

Spoiler regards the Halo 3 Secret Ending.
Long ago, a company named Bungie created a game called Marathon. In Marathon, the player controlled a cybernetic genetically altered super soldier that wore Mjolnir armor and was guided by Leela, the ship's AI. The first of the Marathon games took place on a ship, one witch is extremely similar to the one seen in the Halo 3 secret ending. Also, the first Marathon game takes place in the year 2794, while Halo takes place in the year 2552. It seems that our friend Master Chief is also the protaganist of the Marathon games.
Of course Arbiter gave a really snappy comeback, and I just wish I could remember it.

Me and my brother finished the fight ;) Friday, but didn't see the ending until last night. Why is that? Because, our disk had a ring around the disk that made it freeze up at the end. So when we went in and exchanged the disk for a new one the manager there said he already had a lot of people coming in to exchange them. Apparently there was a high ratio of defected scratched disks in every Tin box, and some in the legendary box edition too.
Oh well at least we saw the end of the story.
God Bless,

I just got it the other night (at Blockbuster. They always have copies new games for sale there, because no one ever thinks of buying their games from there). I've played the others, mostly 2 in multiplayer with friends, but I never bought either of them. Halo 3 kicks booty, I'm so glad I bought it. I'll be getting an Xbox Live connection sooner or later, I'll be glad to play with anyone.

I finished the fight with my bro two days ago, however we have to play through the final level yet again to see the hidden ending since our 360 froze, but I still praise the Lord.

I love this version of the game. Then again working for Gamestop I'm supposed to say that. Hah! No really, this is by far the most exciting game of the series. Had a lot of fun on launch night, met a lot of interesting people. Plus, I like the new Master Chief/Arbiter co-op.
