Hey.

Im looking for band names (not mp3s) of J-Rock (in other words, no english), that sound like punk.

Heres an example: Owari To Mirai - by Girugamesh (scroll down to download).

Any ideas?

Hrm...looked up La: Sadies's..The music, not really want I wanted...I then Looked up Dir en greym, and-MY GOSH, THOSE ARE ALL GUYS!!?? :eyebrow:

They're both not really my style. I want someone that sounds more like GreenDay, or YellowCard, or Sum 41, or SimplePlan, ect., but Japanese.

I heard Ellegarden, but they're mostly English words.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation is total j-punk at it's finest. Also The Pillows, Shonen Knife, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, limited express, Peaches55, and Peelander Z are all good.

I'll second Asian Kung-Fu Generation. They're pretty good, though some of their songs tend to sound the same. Still, I'd recommend them, if that's what you're looking for. :thumb:

You must've seen an earlier pic of them. They look nothing like that any more, thank goodness.

They're both not really my style. I want someone that sounds more like GreenDay, or YellowCard, or Sum 41, or SimplePlan, ect., but Japanese.

Oh. Can't help you then. Sorry about that.

SADS is one. Hey what you can do is do a search for Japanese punk on http://www.purevolume.com and you'll most likely be able to find quite a bit of what you are looking for. Oh and also look up Charcoal Filter.
