Metallica- Enter Sandman
Metallica- Wherever I May Roam
Led Zeppilin- Black Dog
AC/DC- Hells Bells
Led Zeppilin- Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman)
Audioslave- Original Fire

These songs are all pretty easy to pick up. They are all in standard tuning, too. Hope that helps! ^^

Alright, here we go.

System of the Down - Chop Suey (SUPER EASY)
Blindside - Caught a Glimpse
Megadeath - Symphony of Destruction (the solo is the only hard part)
Showbread - Mouth Like A Magazine
Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (the ultimate easy-to-play song)
Disturbed - Stricken (If you can get the timing down with your fingers/chords, its really easy)
Slipknot - Duality

I dont really care all too much for the band or what they stand for, but Black Sabbath's Iron Man is a good song too.

Hope that helps! If you want I can tell you more.

The first song I learned was:

Father I Adore You

blah.

Then I learned "Hang" by Matchbox 20, and it's really easy.

I'd just say get on line and find some free guitar chords of songs you already like, and just pick out the ones with only a few chords in them. Google is always good.

Happy callous-building!

Here is a good place to search for TABS for songs on.

http://www.911tabs.com/link/?1206058

Also, here is the tab for Caught a Glimpse.

http://www.all-good-tabs.com/guitar-tab ... 26897.html

During this part:

Verse: Play this riff 4 times

Ed|----------------------------------------------------------|
Bd|----------------------------------------------------------|
F#|------------------7-------8-------12-------11-------------|
C#|--5---4---3---0---7---0---8---0---12---0----X-------------|
G#|--5---4---3---0---5---0---6---0---10---0----9-{x14}-------|
C#|--5---4---3---0-------0-------0--------0------------------|

Play the 555, 444, 333, 000 parts, change them to Power Chords. So, make them

C#|--X---X---X---X---7---0---8---0---12---0----X-------------|
G#|--7---6---5---2---5---0---6---0---10---0----9-{x14}-------|
C#|--5---4---3---0-------0-------0--------0------------------|

Makes it sound alot better, though it makes it a little harder.

I should be that good. I've been taking lessons for about 5 years from my dad, and for the past 2 years, my practicing has been goofing off. I REALLY need to gain those 2 years back.

Well if you are looking for easy stuff:
Green Day (esp. Holiday, Good Riddance, Brain Stew, American Idiot)
Relient K
Nirvana (Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are)
Metallica (new stuff ie Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman etc)
Any other punk rock (Black Flag, Misfits etc)
If you are looking for hard, cool sounding stuff:
Joe Satriani
Yngwie Malmsteen
Steve Vai
Hope that helps!
