A Plethora of Events

As some of you may or may not know, I have been in the process of finishing my Masters degree for some time now. It's been an interesting ride, but by the grace of God my penultimate thesis revision goes out today (the ultimate being after my defense committee grills me for two hours and makes their comments), and I am within about a week of finishing completely. Not only that, but I recently accepted a job that I am very excited about, and I will be moving to North Carolina soon after I have finished my thesis. So, several things. I want to praise God that I will actually be successfully finishing college (I was wondering for a while...) and that I was blessed with a great job. Beyond that, I ask for prayer for my move, with all the challenges of finding a place to live, a church to go to, and getting used to the heat of the South (where I haven't lived for almost 20 years), and my new job, which will bring many new responsibilities and challenges.

Congratulations, and I'll be lifting you up, bro.

Congratulations on finishing up. This sounds like an important time of transition in your life. I know that God is going to be standing beside you through all of it. I will be praying.

Congrats! I'm incredibly jealous of you right now, though. You're almost done with your master's! ...And I still have a year. *sigh*

Good luck in the transition to your new home and job. I'll be praying. :thumb:

Just an update: My thesis work finished out well, and I've moved (although I am still looking for permanent place to live and most of my stuff is in storage). I'm very greatful for the prayers and greatful that things went really smoothly. I'm glad I'm in NC, although I still need to find an apartment and find a church, and I look forward to starting work Monday.

Another minor update, I have an appartment and I really like my work (the people there are friendly, the environment is professional and helpful, and the opportunities are really exciting), so I'm just looking for a church. Thanks for all your prayers! This transition has worked out really well for me, and I've been able to get a place to live far faster than I expected.
