I think a boook corner would be cool.

That's an interesting thought, Zip. Let's see what some other members think and go from there, kay?

I don't know if that's a good idea... the corners of books can easily rip plastic bags, you know. ^_~

(Please forgive my bad joke. Seriously, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. ^_^ )

It's an interesting idea.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

That could be useful, especially for the writers for this forum. ^^ Do you mean christian books or secular ones or "doesn't matter"? I would like to specifically get reviews on christian books such as Philip Yancey.

I would support it. I mean, at the same time it may be difficult unless there was a specific set format, because of all the differing opinions (see the Harr Potter thread), but I love to discuss books and that kinda thing.

I believe any created Book Corner would only cover discussing literature (though it would most likely be of all types). Reviews are an interesting idea, but we're already trying to handle a lot in that area. You're welcome to state your opinion about books, however (for example: Book x is a good christian book), there will merely be no official reviews.

I agree. There is always so much differentiating of opinions over books, and an official review would be difficult to do, other than personal recommendation, which people do all the time (like the Good Anime thread).

I would love to have a book corner, even if only to find new things to spend my money on.

book corner definitely gets my vote. i mean, there's a separate section for movies and another music and they can be just as controversial as books but they're there all the same. besides, i think books deserve not only to be reviewed but to be discussed too. ^_^

This idea is official under staff review, though things are pretty positive. Trust me, though, your voices have been heard. No need to convince us further.
