Alright, here's the deal. My aunt has been the sort of person who has made practically every screw up imaginable in her life, taking up a host of vices I would rather not mention specifically. However, among the vices my family on my mother's side has struggled with, particularly great is alcoholism, which is why my mother will not touch any alcohol (and I think I will follow suit), and my aunt has been very much affected by this. Somewhere in this maelstrom to my shock she found God and came to a saving faith in our Lord. Although she has been through a host of all manner of institutions designed to help her, she hasn't been able to kick her old habits with any decisiveness, which has been the tragedy of her life. At any rate, the death of my grandfather sent her into a grief in which she did things that caused her to do things to get kicked out of the latest institution, and the drinking she did in the aftermath sent her into the hospital from tipping the scales of the liver damage from alcoholism she had into critical condition. I'm greatful God has so far spared me the grief of two deaths in such a short span, and so far my aunt's condition has gotten a bit better, but she's still really going to need your prayers even if she ever gets out of the hospital because she will have to resist all temptation for the sake of her life.
