My GRE scores

WOOOHOOO!!! I Got a 6/6 on my GRE analytical writing section, I'm in the top 4%! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

I also got a 560 on the verbal (top 24%) and a 650 on the quantitative (top 40%).... YAY!!! Next step, the physics GRE! THANK YOU GOD!

Mmm... What's a GRE? Is it like an SAT or ACT? The scores sound similar...
(Maybe I'm just too old to know... :eyeroll: )

The GRE is the Graduate Record Examination, all majors may or may not require it, but I think that most do. The GRE is taken at the end of one's undergraduate career (I graduated this last spring) before applying to grad school. The test score one recieves is important in determining what schools one will be accepted to. Physics tends to be nasty about this, so getting a good score is crucial just to be accepted. I don't know how they will look at writing (I majored in physics and did better in writing and word memorization then mathematics!) but hopefully they'll take a chance on an odd individual :). Once again thank you God!
