Postby Da Rabid Duckie » Tue Feb 10, 2004 4:13 pm

So The Duck has come to the CAA... let's just hope it's a pleasant stay ^^;;

I suppose this is the part where I talk about myself. I'm almost 24, and I hail from Tupelo, MS (but I get pretty grumpy if you remind me of this). I've been a netizen for about ten years, and it's made me a rather jaded individual, if you ask me. As far as anime goes, I've watched the stuff since I was two. Concerning video games, I've been playing them pretty much from the womb.

As far as what I do, I write semi-professionally for two Christian video game review sites (Al Menconi Ministries and Christian Spotlight's Guide 2 Games), as well as have my own weekly column for a secular gaming site (EgCore, currently down). I'm also one of the administrators of Christian Spotlight's Guide 2 Games forums, and I see some of my own here. I'm also training for this summer's amateur boxing circuit.

Concerning work that I actually get paid for, I work as a Freelance Technical Consultant, though next month I'm starting up a Cyber Cafe/LAN Center with some friends of mine.

I'm also currently learning Japanese, because I have a calling for Japanese missions work. Don't let that intimidate anyone, as I don't really know all that much (yet).

Anyway, there's much more, but just ask. I don't bite, but I do blow lots of stuff up.

LOTS of stuff.

Kokhiri Sojourn wrote:Hey hey! WHat anime do you like?

Um... I don't think you want the full list... I'll just give a small handful instead.

- Azumanga Daioh
- Battle of the Planets (which when typed should always be proceeded with a !!!! or "> ownz j00")
- Blue Submarine No 6
- Cromartie High
- Da Capo
- DiGi Charat
- Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure
- FLCL
- Full Metal Panic (I'm not impressed with Fumoffu though, it got too perverted)
- Getbackers
- Most Gundam series (except for G-Gundam... blech. Noted favorites are the edited versions of 08th MS Team, and most recently Gundam Seed. Of course, I'm a huge fan of the original... Amuro Ray rocks. He just rocks. End of subject)
- Gunslinger Girl
- Hajime no Ippo -- current fav, but not for women. A bit of locker room nudity...
- Kodomo no Omocha
- Macross/Robotech (this includes Plus and Zero)
- Martian Successor Nadesico
- Now and Then and Here and There
- Planetes
- Prince of Tennis
- Run=Dim
- Rurouni Kenshin
- Sakura Taisen (Wars)
- Space Battleship Yamato (classic)
- Stellvia of the Universe -- a close second to being my fav series!!
- Just about anything by Miyazaki (with the exception of Princess Mononoke)
- Trigun
- Vandread
- Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou

It's like I said... it's pretty much all I watch.

Hey, it's Cephas! Hi, Cephas!! Man, I know a lot of people here.... I think I'll fit in fine, now if I could only change my user title....

Yeah.... ZOE2 had some really stupid dialogue in it, didn't it? It was hilarious to see it so well acted when it had so many grammatical errors in it.

Welcome! :)

It's nice to see someone else who is into video games...perhaps there will be some more action on the gaming boards now...

You have good taste in anime (except for G Gundam... I can't agree with your opinion there :P ).
