I saw them play with Psalter and Portugal The Man. I also had a potluck with them so that was pretty awesome being able to hang out and have fun with them.

Oh, man. That's awesome. Psalters are wonderful and Portugal. The Man is kind of entertaining.

I want to go to a potluck, too. Those are supposed to be a blast.

Yeah Psalters were really neat to see live and Portugal really reminded me of The Mars Volta.

It's funny you'd say that, because after I bought Portugal the Man's CD a while back, the first thing I thought was "This is what Frances the Mute would sound like if it had some actual music on it."

So...I've heard Brother, Sister.

Not to get you guys excited or anything, but it's a strong contender for my album of the year. And before you ask, yes, it's better than Catch For Us the Foxes.
"That Man, born in That Day and also known by the alias This Guy or That Person, is well-known among ninja of the world for developing That Jutsu and his key role in That Incident. However, he should not be confused with That Man who is That Man but is not really That Man." -Uncylopedia.org, on the Naruto character That Man

Being better than Catch For Us the Foxes is a very, very bold claim and yet after hearing two or three of the songs off of the album, I believe it. I'm sure it will be my album of the year. I can almost guarantee it.

I'm looking forward to hearing it. From what I've heard I think that it'll be just as good or better. I'm definately going to agree that it'll probably be the album of the year.

I can't wait for it. I'm not even counting down the days to it like I was with Showbread. I'm just not thinking about it so it'll get here faster. XD

Yeah, so far I have also only listened to one preview track, but it is actually very good. That beats my first view of them. ^^

New MP3 up on absolutepunk.net. The song is "O' Porcupine." It's fantastic.

9 more days. I told myself I wasn't going to count down on this because I've got too much else to do, but here I am, counting down the days. Dang.

One more week.

We have the demo at work. I started to listen to it, but couldn't let myself. It must be new and fresh next Tuesday.

I listened to A->B and Catch For Us the Foxes today, and while A->B is a great listen, Catch is far superior. A->B feels a lot sloppier musically. If you like Catch, though, you need to get Brother, Sister. It's beautiful.

It's crazy how different yet alike it is to the old stuff. I think it's awesome how they are carrying themes from the first two albums...It seems almost like your listening to an old friends report on their life.

I know! What I also love is the way Aaron incorporates stuff from his journal entries into the lyrics. The part about "Mother hen to the chicks" on Yellow Spider is something he put in an entry a while ago. The whole CD is wonderful. Is it just me or does it have a bit more edge than Catch does, yet it feels more intricate, musically?

To me it seems like the new CD is actually a little less catchy but it's much more intricate.

I don't know, C-Minor really caught me.

I'm listening to some of their songs on Myspace.com and I've got to say, this is impressive. it's a unique sound, and in my opinion, it's better than Paper Hanger of December 1979.
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling

So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole
