I haven't played in a while, but the Aibatt server should be the second server, and the Mushpoie server should be the third server. They may have changed it since then or something. o.O

Aibatt never has been and never will be server three. The servers are organized like this:

1-X is the Lawolf server cluster.
2-X is the Aibatt server cluster.
3-X is the Mushpoie server cluster
4-X is the Mia server cluster.

I know I'm right, I'm looking at the server selection screen as I'm typing this.

On my patch Aibatt it is the other way round...

1-X Mia
2-X Mushpoie
3-X Aibatt
4-X Lawolf

I don't know. Maybe the patch has been cahnged slightly since I only got it a few days ago but Aibatt is Aibatt so I guess it works out... *shrugs*

I'll guess I'll try to find people in the game with the user search and see what happens.

Nah, it's ok. I'm level 75 and I'm a noob, too.

THe exp boxes appear when you die and use loadlight or loadstar to raise. You can go back to yours (and only yours) within 3 hours and regain 1% experience and 100% pxp.

When you get back, find these things: A FS assist, and one or two people to powerlevel. I got all of those things, and I was out thrashing Garbagepiders (I killed each kind, smalls and capts with the fire soss and normals with the water one), and you were getting about .3 exp per kill. I know because I powerleveled a guy in my guild. ^^

So, you started on Mushpoie, eh Otaku? It is better to go to Aibatt. That's the server we all play on.

I see, I mean I can kill garbagespiders myself, even the captain cranes. (Using a lot of food of course) wouldn't it be better for me to solo? I mean plvling someone would give me less exp right? I'm a bit confused.

plvl = Powerlevel.

No, I thought that when you had more people in an area it cut down on your exp too, but it actually boosts it. This, of course, requires that you are in an Contribution party. And one word of advice - if you EVER have to use a lot of food to kill something, don't even bother fighting it. No more than 2 foods per kill. It's a good rule of thumb.

I hate using food unless I really have too. I prefer to sit arounf and heal after each fight instead of usung it so I can sell for cash... People think I'm wierd (but I'm only lvl 25 and have 530,000+ penya so boo them)

Oh okay. I get it about the exp boxes now. Seeing them everywhere is really annoying XD

I'm like that too, Otaku, although I usually don't sell my food, I just like to try to use as little as possible when I'm fighting. Which is why I love being an assist <3

I've tried all the classes. My current highest level character is actually a magician. I find the assist class to be the most fun though, since I prefer to wander around and help people and stuff as opposed to grinding down and fighting a lot.

530k penya is actually kind of low for a level 25. You should have a couple mil by now, at least. At level 30, I had 10 mil >.> At level 75, I have appx. 25mil. It really is better to save your food, as it saves you money on buying food.

Since when do magicians fight tactically...? You jack your int and sta and beat on enemies. To be perfectly honest, the magician is tied for least tactical, right along with mercenary. The most tactical class, by far, is acrobat. The acrobat is tough to make, and requires that you think. They are all tech.

Also, assist is my favorite, too (my main chara is a Ringmaster, after all ^^ And you gotta be dedicated to be a support character).

I would say that magicians are actaully quite tactical as you aften have to plan carefully to use elements to your advantage, especially as your def is so low BUT I am speaking out of expierience from MMORPGs such as Ragnarock ad MUonline so I easily stand to be corrected in regards the flyff as I only just started.

Yeah... very few mages go full int. The most popular builds for mage are 1:1 on Int and Sta, 2:1 on Sta to Int, and Full Sta. So really, the Magician is supposed to be able to tank a little bit.

The Acrobat is the tech class. They have more stunning and effects than anything else, and are arguably one of the most powerful classes available. Hit of Penya = pwnage. Not to mention other great skills such as Dark Illusion, Cross Line, and Counterattack. I need to go back and make another acro, since I screwed up on the one I have ><

Well it just goes to show that I am still much of a newb in the world of Western MMORPGs. I think differently about skills and classes, I'm butt poor 'cause I can't get my head round this whacked out market (pd4 standard price = 150K, auto price = 8,000. Wat up with that!?!) and Istill have no idea how the guild hierarchy works but I'm having fun so whatever!!

Well, some stuff you have to sell for more than autoprice. AP is usually crap. Just go around and see what other ppl are selling for, or ask here.

LinksQuest is now level 36
ZeldaofHyrule is now level 22 and joined a Guild (DarkShadow I believe is the name)
Warbler is still level 21

I am definately going to be aking a guild with LinksQuest.. and I am still trying to come up with a good name.

EDIT: Please vote for names you think are best in this thread:
http://www.christiananime.com/showthread.php?t=36058

Linksquest will be a Knight
ZeldaofHyrule will be an Elementer
Warbler--- i'm still trying to decide... but I think he will be a Ringmaster

having all three chars helps me understand the powers and limitations of other users who have the same characters.

OK, well, it depends on teh card. Unless you want to keep them to use yourself, I recommend NPC'ing the upgrade cards. The only cards worth selling are the ones that add other effects. And even then, the best cards are the level 4 and 5 cards. Cards work like this:

level1: +2% socket card
level2: level 1-5 upgrade card
level3: level 6-10 upgrade card
level4: +4% socket card
level5: +7/10% socket card (varies from type to type)

Basically, you can sell the level 1-3 cards to npc's because people will rarely buy them. The level 4 cards can be sold for about 40k each, and the level 5 cards are worth about 5-7mil each. By the way, if you find a level five card (Ocean, Lightning, Earthquake, Vacuum, or Volcano), your best bet is to go to 2-1 Darkon and sell it there. Most people in Flaris either don't bother with or don't know about upgrading, and the people in SaintMorning can't really afford to do high-level upgrading, usually. High level upgrading can cost 100's of millions of penya, so most of the people who do it are high levels in Darkon.

Flyff is an eastern MMOrpg =p

Magicians are a bit tactical I guess. It all really depends on attack elements. Don't use water attacks on electrical enemies.

Oh and everdred, I usually fight while in a full contri party.

No, Flyff IS an eastern MMO. And no, a majority of the players of Flyff are easterners, not westerners. "So why don't we see any easterners playing Flyff then?" Because our Flyff sucks. Horrendously. Now, don't misunderstand me right off the bat. I'm pretty much the most hardcore Flyff player on CAA. But if you sit down and compare JFlyff, KFlyff, and CFlyff (Japanese, Korean, and Chinese respectively) to our EFlyff (English), then you'd probably think it sucked, too.

On J, K, and CFlyff, there are many differences from the Flyff that we know. First of which is, that J/K/CFlyff are pay-to-play, while ours is free. Both games still feature a cash-out shop, however the other Flyffs have many more, cooler items than we do (THEY HAVE A DARTH VADER SET), and many of our CS items are available through NPC's, such as the pets.

Also, have you ever noticed that there are several different weapons/armors available, as well as the green sets and weapons, and the brown sheilds and weapons? Well... you may look at a lot of those items and say "Wow, those suck," but the thing is, the people at Galanet brought over what they wanted, and left out a huge chunk of the other weapons and such. In reality, there are 2 or 3 items available at each level. Ever notice how there are 3 different swords with level 1 prerequisites? Well, it goes the same for every other level. And I personally believe there may be other set items available, too.

Another feature that sets the other Flyffs apart is the marriage system. Basically, you get married, and collect double experience. I think this got left out due to gay marriage issues (I WILL NOT DISCUSS GAY MARRIAGE WITH YOU. IF ANYONE ELSE TALKS ABOUT THIS I WILL REPORT YOU), but I'll leave it at that and move on.

These are the only differences that I *know of.* There could be many, many more, but these differences are enough to convince me that J/K/CFlyff are way better than EFlyff. However, I can't speak Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, so I'll stick with EFlyff.

That is very good point everdred and I mean not to contradict you. I simply meant that those playing on the Eflyff (a.k.a the flyff that is hosted on servers owned by Aeon soft) are westerners. This means that all most interactions is within the cultural norm and set of Westerners.
I admit that I didn't explain it very well but it was more of an offhand comment about how different I find this game as I used to live in Asia, thus played MMORPGs with Asians which is a different experience.

And, yes. From what I here of my old Filipino playing buddy Eflyff bites when compared to thier version (which is like the full Chinese version translated into Taglish).

Besides having to pay for the others... don't you have to live in those regions to be able to play on their servers?

Nope. I was in a guild whose leader lived in Japan, and I know of several people who play on both JFlyff and EFlyff. So nobody is restricted to one server.

And Aeonsoft owns all the servers, not just the EFlyff ones. Aeonsoft made the game.
