Well, he probably did contribute to the British economy (not that the British have much of a choice to begin with), and he did donate a good deal of money (he has so much) to organizations that supposedly try to reduce poverty.

Just for the record, Microsoft is not popular among the Computer Engineering and Computer Science people here at Georgia Tech.
