Prayer for my Dad

Postby TrigunX89 » Tue Aug 01, 2006 7:20 pm

Hello. You may or may not know that my dad has been fighting cancer for 5 years. For the last couple weeks, he has been in very bad condition, and now he is staying in the hospital for the next few days, receiving blood, having tests taken, etc. The scary part is that it seems he's at the end of the road of medical treatment. The doctors have basically done everything they can do in the past 5 years; surgeries, medications, etc. My parents wouldn't give me the details, but without treatments his condition can only get worse until he dies, which might not be much longer. My mom truly believes that God will heal him. I hope and pray she's right, because only God can save him now. So, I ask that whoever is reading this would please pray for my dad. Thank you.

I'll be praying... one of my step step cousins just had her cancer return today, so I'll definately be praying for your dad as well.

Thank you. I appreciate it.

The calcium in his blood is dangerously high. They have been giving him blood and liquids since yesterday, trying to flush it out. Unfortunately, it hasn't gone down much. I haven't seen my dad since he was admitted, but I plan to see him today. From what others have told me, his state of mind is not right because of the high calcium. We're still praying for a miracle.

Here's an update. If you don't believe in angels/demons/spiritual gifts, then you will think I am crazy. I was sleeping when some of this happened, so it may not be 100% accurate. This is what I saw/heard.

This morning my sister had a vision. She saw my father with a black mist over his head, which was called the spirit of confusion. She prayed against this spirit, and it spread out as a ring around him. She kept praying, and eventually it left him, but spread around the area of the hospital. Then, she saw an angel of God sitting next to my dad. This angel was guarding my dad from the spirit of death, which was also in the room.

A little while later, my dad calls my sister on her cellphone. He's freaking out, saying that something bad is happening there and telling her to bring the police. We find out from the nurse at the hospital that my dad is delusional. He was standing in the hallway warning the other patients of danger, and talking nonsense.

So, the first part of the vision has come true. My dad was clouded with confusion. What about the second part? Is death trying to get my father, and is God trying to protect him? Every part of me believes so. I am praying against Satan's forces, praising God, and believing without a doubt that he will be healed. I also ask that the rest of you would continue to pray for my dad as well.

One good thing has already happened. That is, I have more faith than ever before. I'm sorry it took all of this to get me here, but now that I'm here, I never want it to leave.

Thank you all for your time and prayers. I will keep you updated, even if you think I'm making this up.

that's amazing! I couldn't try to tell you what it means, but know that I definately don't think you're crazy.

I'll pray for your dad.

I'll keep praying for your dad. I don't think you are crazy at all. It sounds like God was telling your sister how to pray very specifically for your dad. Hang in there.

Things have been pretty crazy for TrigunX89, so I thought I'd update the thread for those of you who are praying for his dad. His dad has been back in the hospital receiving food and fluids by I.V. with a very grim diagnosis. His kidneys and liver are very weak. Without God's continued help, TrigunX89's dad's kidneys and liver will fail. So keep him covered in prayer, y'all.

Thanks, HisaishiFan. Things were beginning to look better, or so we thought. He certainly wasn't getting any worse for days. Today, though, he was moved into the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) due to bleeding (possibly internal) and trouble breathing. They have heavily sedated him, and put him on a ventilator to breathe for him. I do appreciate all your prayers. We're still keeping the faith.

Thank you all for your prayers. I just thought I should tell you that my dad passed away Friday the 15th. I'm sorry I didn't say anything earlier. Thank you all again, and special thanks to HisaishiFan for helping to keep this thread going.
