The Passing of Mako

Mako 72 Japanese born actor real name Makoto Iwamatsu who appeared in movies and TV died July 21 in Somis Calif from esophageal cancer. He received an Academy Award nomination for his part in the movie the Sand Pebbles as the engine room coolie Po-han in 1966.
He appear in many movies and TV shows and was also a voice actor for many anime and American animation.

Yes, he was the voice of Aku in "Samurai Jack" and the "Enter at your own peril" narrator in "Dexter's Laboratory", not to mention the magician in the Conan movies. He will surely be missed. :(

If I recall correctly, he was also the voice of the guy's uncle on Avatar (heard about this on another site).

He made at least on appearance on M*A*S*H,I think it was the ep. where they had to pick up some GIs that were captured by the Chinese and he played the
Chinese officer in charge(though I could be wrong).
