It's an RPG, better known as Shin Megami Tensei.

oh i've played shim megami tensei! it's a really great RPG, one of the better ones i've played.... be careful though. i dont know how tolerant you are to certain things, but it's an M rated game for a reason. it's very dark... very VERY dark, it's all about demons and cults and such, i guess it depends how you deal with that sort of thing. there's also some innuendos made and stuff like that.

from a gameplay perspective, i recommend it, especially if you like RPGs... but if any of the above mentioned stuff bothers you... then you probably shouldnt play it.

This is prabobly WAY old but just syaing that an ad for that game in one of my magazines had a Pentagram and littles words and stuff all in it. And the whole game is basically an Occult RPG with demons and spirits and ghosts and stuff(from what ive seen).

Im still not real sure about it. I guess Ill give it rental just to see. Probably the darkes game Ive ever played was Umm.... Devil May Cry. I think. Well maybe. how do they compare? Plot wise.

plot wise digital devil is still darker than devil may cry.... digital devil in parts totally creeped me out and scared me... devil may cry never did that for me. the plots really different too... tho... actually the main character in devil may cry is in shin megami tensei nocturne (which is the prequel to the digital devil games)

The game is one of the better RPG's I have played in a long time. Gameplay is fairly reminicent to Final Fantasy X. Yes it does have occult themes but no where in the game is is pressuring you to believe these ideas.

The general plot is warring clans where if one clan rules them all they can achieve the ability to go to heaven...then it goes sour when a new entity says that the only way now is to kill everyone.

Again sounds heavy but it really is not... the story is very intriguing. I would recommend researching Tensai's games/anime's so you can fully understand how he does his demon's and plots.
