Domain Hosting

Postby KBMaster » Sat Jun 10, 2006 1:54 pm

Recently, my website, in a word, died. It expired and now it is... NO MORE! *sniff* Anyways, I'm currently looking for a new place to park my domain. Myrhhlynn suggested Surpass Hosting, and so far, it's the best looking one out there. If anyone else can give me some good feedback on this one or recommend a better one, please help me out!
Thanks!

What's your price range?

Right now I'm using Network Redux. I'm sharing with a bunch of friends and that really drives the cost down a lot.

Some hosts I hear about all the time are Media Temple and Dreamhost.

We are going to go with 1&1 hosting. My sister talked to her old Web Master teacher and she recommended it. It's affordable, we get two domains, and a TON of space and bandwith for 5 bucks a month. :wow!: http://www.1and1.com for anyone who wants to see it. :thumb: Thanks for your time!

You can get free domain names at http://freedns.afraid.org/
But, you need to choose from pre-made suffixes. The shortest ones (that I know of) are .1.vg and .g.la

Thanks, but we are going with http://www.1and1.com
We already have a domain set up and we have given my mom and dad spaces of their own on our site. So, moving would be a huge hassle and I like the technical support they provide. But thank you for the suggestion!

once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.
