Just so that you guys know, we're moving our primary DNS server IP address. You may experience some intermittant downtime over the next 48-72 hours. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Due to the large number of computers that have to all work together on the internet, the "change of address" form we filed for our server may take a while to circulate.
Aahh, ok, that makes more sense. I kept wondering what was going on, but I'm glad to have the IP, since I was stranded without CAA for about a day. Oh, the horror!

Okay, ~11pm Pacific time, I was unable to successfully resove the domain name. The dnsstuff tool gave me a working ip, though, and I've thrown it in my hosts file for now.
Interestingly enough, my work connection was able to resolve it just fine today.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.
At 0810 CDT I was able to connect, and I was unable to connect through the regular route about 5 minutes ago. It does appear to be working (here, at least).

Instead of telling you that it doesn't work, I'd just like to thank you for having the alternate address. It is good to be able to communicate with some of the people I don't regularly connect with through other channels. We know you're working on a solution and we can be patient until then.
I want to echo what UC said. Sorry I didn't mention that in my previous post. I was very glad to find that we could still use the backup IP. I have a lot of friends on the Bump Thread and life gets boring without them. XD
