On the note of location, I was reading in the Bungie Weekly Update today that Halo 3 is supposed to be set in Africa. Pssh. Right. Maybe if Africa's a ring shaped weapon of galaxy destruction.

On another note, I'm being a complete geek and nabbing every single screenshot of this game whilst it's in development.

Well actually it does. The Forerunner artifact in the trailer was what Regret was looking for in Halo 2 near Mombasa I gurantee you. Also you can see Mount Killamanjaro in the background and the destroyed bridge from Halo 2. The entire city was also probably wiped out from the slipspace deal. Of course the entire game won't be set in Africa but a good portion I bet will be on Earth on least.

I for one am hoping that the entire game will be set on earth though it obviously won't happen. I mean if you remember the earth levels were quite beautiful even on current xbox graphix. Ah I downloaded the HD trailer off of bungie's website and I watch it everyday lol im such a nerd.
