As noted I was planning on getting Utena plus the first two volumes of Robotech, but I was only able to order the Robotech DVDs(the Remastered version)
so will have to have another go at Utena probably next month.
Right now I'm counting down for the latest Inuyasha episode tonight and then Neon Genesis Evangelion and Fifth Moon on Trigun.I plan on watching Bubblegum
Crisis Tokyo 2040 on Friday and Noir on Sunday IF the Geneshaft DVDs I'm waiting for don't come this week.

I just finished the angelic layer series....how cute was that!!! Unfortunately, the disk it was on was scratched or something, so it was all fuzzy at the end. But I managed to catch the finale, and I didn't even shed a tear. However, I can't say that much for Pretear. Geez, I cried when that was over :)

Today I finished Kanon (eps. 7-13)!!! I just submitted my review for it here. Time will tell if it gets accepted! It was really good, better than I thought it would be. A sort of Slice of life/drama/romance/fantasy/comedy type, lol. It was based off of an H game, but hardly had any sexual content at all. I would def suggest watching this, especially if you are into the Slice of life/drama/romance/fantasy/comedy genre!

I had said to myself that once my car was on the road again I'd rent an anime DVD from my to-watch list. So last night I watched "Last Exile", the first 4 episodes. Pretty sweet. Unfortunately I didn't notice any more episodes available at the video rental place. I'll be TOed if I can't rent the rest of the series!

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya episode 7
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I remember torrenting the first 6 eps of that, and I couldn't get past episode 1...One reason being that I didn't have any time, the other being that it seriously wasn't grabbing my attention (I do like slice of life anime). What's the basic storyline, so I know what to expect the next time I watch it? If it does get better, I'd like to finish it someday.

haha. Seeing Kanon wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, It's one of my fav's now. I'll prolly watch it all over again before the Kyoto Animation version comes out this fall. It's a very unique anime with a very unique story to tell. There are many plot twists that I totally didn't see coming... which doesn't usually happen to me... I usally think about possibilities in plots before they happen, but with Kanon... many things happened which I totally didn't expect. It truly is a treasure of an anime.

I RECOMMEND IT 100000000%! :thumb:

I'm waiting for the sub too. Just from the action Uta ep.7 is easily the best episode so far.... and they're not even one-third's into the series!
