I actually made a topic on it WAYYYYY back when it was first announced that it would be an anime, and I posted a link to the site that had pics of the game... back then I think I got ONE comment on it, but no one really seemed interested in it...

Heh, been trying to promote it as much as I could on the board/chat because I KNEW that my anticipation would meet my needs^^ It's a great show!!!

EDIT: apparently I found it... http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=27805 yup, off by ZERO comments :/

I wonder if the show will continue to be as episodic as the first four episodes. I don't mean that it won't still be wonderful, but, in shows with an epic feeling like this one, I seem to expect some large story arc.

*hopes there is one*

Oh, well, the rule is that you have to watch the first 8 episodes before you can make judgements about the plot, and I'll follow the rules.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I dunno... doesn't seem like the story will be THAT long. Mostly because it's based on a game and not some 30+ volume manga... hmmm then again I guess Full Moon ended up having 52 eps from a 7 volume manga 0_0 (Haven't seen it yet, but since people said the anime was amazing, guess the fillers were good!) Guess stuff like a 3 1/2 volume manga like Sailor Moon (first season) ended up having a HUGE anime too, but once again TONS of fillers etc. ...although Uta doesn't seem like the type of anime that would aimlessly repeat the same thign over and over or go into an unecessarly long story arc. Hmmm the winged-people still haven't appeared yet v_v ...me wants to know who they are.

I hope that there isn't something cliched about Hakuoro's mask. I mean, you KNOW that they will have to take off the mask one of these days. Maybe it will reveal his true (evil) power, or his identity, or maybe he IS Eruru's father, or that he doesn't have eyebrows.

I don't want something boring and expected like that.

We should hope that it's something exciting... I mean, we already have hints with the flashbacks that SOMETHING evil is involved... not necessarily that HE is a demon but.... I dunno, something^^

It might be like the whole NARUTO theme with him having some sorta beast within him:
He keeps having that image of that beast in his mind... and he didn't recognize his form at the beginning
But I dunno... The opener might reveal some of what he may truly be... but then again, it might not...

I also wonder what will happen when Yuzuha opens her eyes (I am pretty sure that is her opening her creepy-looking dead eyes; refer to the opening sequence). At the very least, I expect:

Oboro: Yuzuha, you're not blind?
Yuzuha: Nope. One of the kids placed a bet that I couldn't keep my eyes closed for eight (?) years.
Oboro: You suck. I want all those goodies I gave you back.

if it is based off an H game, does that mean that there will be H later on in the anime? I sure hope not, I've made it a rule never to watch anime with nudity/H in it, but I enjoyed the first four eps.

Concidering AIR was also one... there was nothing... except on the movie. The movie did have a scene or 2. If at worst, there might be a few comments and stuff, as shown on the first ep when Nuwangi (sp?) thought because the new stranger slept at Eruuruu's place that they actually slept together :/ Just little things like that but as far as the series looks, I doubt they will be any actual sex going on, or even nudity for that matter.

Hmm I haven't heard that... things are still being released smoothly by them and just checked the site and still says that the project's ongoing and such. Looks like a high priority project too, since Uta happens to be the banner their site is using at the moment^^

Besides, ep 5 was JUST released as a raw, so the sub should be out in a couple days... why would it be suspended anyhow? The series isn't licensed yet so the companies shouldn't be yelling at them to stop supplying it just yet^^

OH Y3S! DID U NOT NOE!?

XD

Actually, this is just a rule [of thumb] that a lot of fans use. In essence, the rule asserts that you can't really make a very fair call on the quality of the anime before you've seen the first 8 episodes. The reasoning behind this is that, in general, by episode 8 the majority of introductory character development is over, and the main plot, if there is one, has been revealed.

However, I would make mention that I imagine if an anime was only 13 episodes then you wouldn't need 8 to make the call. I think 8 is a number chosen because it's converts to a roughly a third of a typical show's length of 26 episodes.

Concerning Yesy, I don't see any announcement to that affect on their web page. . . The only way I can imagine that would have happened is if they've been subbing licensed shows and they finally got shut down. However, I've unaware of such a practice on their parts, and I would, for that reason, be surprised to see that they were close down.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. So I noticed that Static Subs is also doing the series and according to their site, there will only be 24 eps.

EDIT: ANN says there will only be 26 eps... either or, it'll be regular anime length^^

Ok! Watched the 5th eps! Here are my thoughts:
It's getting good... that fat man has... a BROTHER?!?!? oh brother... XD. The one part that really scared me was when Mukuru suckled on Eruruu... I was like "Whaaa...t... ?" Sorta freaky and wrong... <_<... anywho... And then Mukuru grew like... SOOo fast XDDD. At first I was like "how much time is actually elapsing here?" MUKURU SAVED THE DAY! the lesson here kids is that "Disobeying your self-called father will allow you to save his life someday!" OH.. Aruruu...
Can't wait for eps. 6!

Yes, well, about the
Is there ever a moment in which Aruru is not cute? I doubt it. Aruru is like the Disco Stu of Uta, in that she mostly refers to herself in the third person.

I think Oboro is slowly but surely becoming gay for Hakuoro.

Mukuru's moé factor dropped -25, but her coolness went up by +15, and funniness went up +10, so I think it all evens out.

Nuwangi gets some scars without reason or warning, but I'm suspecting he did that because he's desperately trying to catch up with Hakuoro in terms of overall coolness. That's kinda hard to do since Hakuoro has random people calling him "brother" and "daddy" and even has the dorky-mask handicap, whereas Nuwangi is a creep on the über-scale and it doesn't help that he ended the episode with a Pedosmile and a creepy laugh.

Benawi = Aoshi clone?
Also angry Eruru = love.

My Sims also watch Utawarerumono.

I also wonder what part Yuzuha will play in the future. So she just met the Xruru siblings this episode. Why did Tusukuru keep her meeting with that girl under-the-table? And what's with her freaky eyes in the OP?

Interesting merchant on ep 6... and with his comment on how he sells "beautiful jewelery for women" and the twin archers were trying on some pieces, I guess I change my mind and they ARE in fact girls^^ They just seemed rather boyish to me :/

And poor Eruuruu was so sad this ep v_v
