The last time I did one of these, I think I came out "closet geek". I always thought I was more obvious than that. ;)

34.9% here
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

The test was both humorous and highly inaccurate. But it's an Internet quiz- what did you expect?

I guess the term "geek" is too difficult to be defined simply. But my personal definition doesn't include "obesession" anywhere, and the test leaned heavily toward it. Also, you could get a lot of points just for being smart, not necessarily being geeky. That's all I meant. And you're right, it was relatively broad.

So who checked the box "in 'smart' classes?" or "subscribe to history/anthology magazines?" or "gaming magazines?"...and EVERYONE here should have checked you watch anime. Well, mostly everyone. And for the record, I happen to like that show Beat the Geeks. There are some people nerdier than I am, and it makes me feel good.

He didn't lie. Only the slightest of exaggerations that wouldn't have made much difference anyway. ;)

I am a geek -- 21.89%. Some of it is residual due to marriage to an extreme geek (see oldphilosopher's message above).

Sheepishly. OK. I went through the test again and un-exaggerated. In fact, I found a section I skipped too. Yikes. That's really scarry.
