Music hardly ever has a psycological hold on me. I may get emotional but depressing music doesn't make me depressed, angry music doesn't make me angry, etc etc. I can listen to a Satanic band or band with obvious anti-Christian beliefs and be perfectly fine consciously and sub-consciously. As for H.I.M., I don't like music that appeals generally to angsty teenage boys and girls usually.

That's another reason why I don't like HIM. Their music is basically made for the emo kids.

While I find the band overall weird, I do like their remake of "Don`t fear the Reaper." They sounds like Marylin Manson which I don`t think is very um....cool.

There's nothing wrong with the manson sound. Just the lyrics...and the videos (whatever you do, DON'T WATCH THE VIDEOS!) Pitchshifter are an awesome band that sound like Linkin Park crossed with Manson and I really like the Manson sounding parts.

I could never ever take this band seriously, as the first song tht I heard by them was Wings of a Butterfly in which they rip OFF the wings of a butterfly. I couldn't stop laughing. Neither could my sister or mom.
My sister saw an interview with them and said that they needed to be trained to write such dark and depressing lyrics and are really just a bunch of goofballs (her words, not theirs).

I actually like them a bit. Well I like a few songs at least. They are quite cheesy though but thats why I like em. They sing like they are oh so serious and tragic and I dont know... its funny. I think they could be pretty decent but if they want to actually be taken seriously, they'd have to sing a bit more "real". Not "Baby Join me in death" stuff. Lol.
