Sorry, I was out of line. We all know the only moron on this thread is me.

Myoti wrote:About the DVD stuff:
The keyword is OPTIONAL. As Kae said, yes, most people bought a PS2 JUST for the DVD capabilities. With that in mind, most people will already have a DVD player by the time the Revo comes out, so why would they want to spend more just to have another?

There are no taller flames than when console fanboys go to war...If you have poo to throw, you're probably a monkey.
I know I've said this before, but I love all the different consoles for their different perks. Xbox 360, Halo 3. PS3, MGS4. Revolution, downloadables. Also, I personally think that game systems are game systems, and if you want to watch a DVD or listen to a CD, use a DVD or CD player. I mean, I'm not completely opposed to it, I love being able to listen to my music in-game on the 360, but something about me screams that consoles should be pure playing machines (says the guy that uses his PS2 as a DVD player/disc holder).

Because a large population of gamers only want sex and bloody violence in their games. the never give games like Katamari Damacy, Animal Crossing, Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen, Tales of Symphonia, or Harvest Moon a try. A lot of people go "Wtcrap? You're rolling a dumb ball around! Your'e a stupid animal living in a town! This fighting game is CELL SHADED! Its so Kiddy! This RPG looks so lame! Ew Farming? Thats so lame!" Nobody wants to try new things.
kaemmerite wrote:The ironic thing is Katamari Damacy is a Sony ONLY game that will never see the light of day on a Nintendo system. Kinda ruins your argument, Ryan.
Ark wrote:You know, I was actually going to stop posting here. But this post annoys me just enough to break my own word. Support your system all you want, but to claim the reason people don't like Nintendo is because of kiddy games is just stupid. Gee. Which system got RE4 first? Gee. Was RE4 kid oriented? Of course. Between blowing heads off, you learned the alphabet. o.O And btw, no. I don't like any of the games you listed off. However, I do find Super Smash Brothers pretty fun. (a fairly goreless Nintendo game)

Look at God of War. What an amazingly fantastic game. It's also got lots of blood, and violence, and sex.
I think Nintendo has always wanted to aim to a younger demographic. That's fine, and if the other companies want to go for older gamers, they should. I don't have any preference when it comes to "kiddy" or "mature" games. There are some that I enjoy from both groups.
