Little girl with brain tumor

Postby Rogie » Wed Apr 05, 2006 3:44 pm

I received a prayer request via e-mail the other day for a little girl in the first-grade back home in Virginia. She has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and is now at St. Jude's Hospital for treatment.

Please pray for this little girl and her family. They all must be scared to death. Thanks, everyone.

I'll pray for her healing and the comfort of her family. It's so sad to hear when young people get sick like this.

:( It's so sad to hear about stuff like this...but she can get through it! God is awesome and amazing...my cousing had a brain tumor when he was five and he also went to St. Jude's. Now he's in tenth grade and he's in the top ten of his grade. God can work miracles and He's amazing! I'll pray.

UPDATE

Well, the little girl's MRI showed no brain tumor, which is a wonderful miracle. So praise God for that! Now the doctors are performing surgery (it may have already taken place) on a blood vessel in the back of her neck. I'm not sure what is wrong with the blood vessel, but it's obviously the problem, although I think it's very minor.

Thank God that she doesn't have cancer, though. Thanks for praying, everyone. :thumb:

UPDATE

This is likely the final update about this little girl, which is definitely a good thing. I got this e-mail from the lady who asked me to pray for her:

She is back home now & doing fine. She was in church yesterday with her Granddad. When the doctors went in to do the surgery, the blood vessel burst in the surgeon's hand just as he took it out. If it had burst while in her neck, it could have killed her. Praise God for His wonderful ways. She is a little "miracle". Please continue to pray for her----her Mom is on drugs & her Granddad takes care of her. Her church is praising God for His goodness & the answer to prayer for her.

So praise God for getting her through this and for giving her a grandfather willing to raise her. Let's pray for this little girl's continued good health, for her grandfather in caring for her, and for her mother.

Thanks again, guys. :thumb:

Praise God for her progress. But I agree that the family can definitely use continued prayer.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)
