In about 1 hour and 20 minutes, I shall have my copy of Kingdom Hearts 2. It will be glorious. Too bad I have to work tonight. XD

Just got my copy. The opening is incredibly slow, but it does a nice job of catching you up on the first game's storyline... sort of. I played the first one right when it first came out, so I'm slowly remembering what happened in the first one.

It's set up nicely, though, and I'm thinking it will be great. Those of you in or around Tennessee should be able to pick the game up at EBGames stores right now.

Ill say this I was "hoo hummm" till steamboat willy stage (i got it yesterday due to preordering) Then after that it got insane with the pirates of the carribean shortly after then later on tronn and the 1000 man heartless bash.

I got mine yesterday and I love it so far (especially the Hades calling a certain person out of a pit part). I've been treadmilling and trying to savor the gameplay. Drive mode is awesome! I decided to play on Proud mode, and this time, I actually messed around with making my own Gummi ship. I'll see if I can get screenshots of - you guessed it, the Falcon.

*edit* If no one objects, I'd like to take "countdown" out of the thread title so we can keep one KH2 thread going. I'll hold off on doing it in case someone thinks that'd be a bad idea.

No complaint here gypsy. My gummy ship is a poor imatation of a skies of arcadia valian battleship. Gummy ship levels are so much more fun in this game.

Oh my gosh, I am soooo excited about this. I just have to convince my sister to come over this weekend. Kukuku. She got the strategy guide too. The EB guy pressured her into it and she had to pay 55 bucks(20 percent off!!!!)!! That's probably more than the game itself!!!
But she did tell me(well, she told my sister, eho told me) that in the heroes list

I know I'm late to the party, but I had been counting down until the KH II's release as well (Which is funny since I don't play most video games. I just let my brothers do it and enjoy the cutscenes and animation of the gameplay). I reserved a copy for my youngest brother for his birthday. His B-day isn't until May, so his gift will be very early. I can't pick it up until Saturday though, so I hope Gamespot still holds my copy (they better since I gave them five bucks to hold it).

This seems to have morphed into a discussion thread about the game now (since it has been released), so I'll follow suit.

First of all, Aeris' voice (I refuse to call her by a mistranslated name). Her voice SUCKS. It's not so much a bad voice as it is horribly acted. Is it Mandy Moore or something like that? Well, she needs to take some acting lessons. It sounds like she just read lines off a script. Her voice has no emotion or anything. Bad, bad, bad.

The Gummi Ship. I still hate the Gummi Ship. But I hate it less now. They improved upon the Gummi levels a bit, for which I'm grateful. They're still my least favorite part of the game, but at least I don't dread their arrival.

The only thing that bugs me is

[SPOILER=Twilight Town after Hollow Bastion]There was a weird portal or something in the basement of the mansion in Twilight Town after Roxas fought Axel. It said it was sealed by darkness or something when you approach it. I just left it, but now Twilight Town is completely gone from the world map. Maybe it comes back or something, I dunno. But it bugs me that I don't know what that thing was.[/SPOILER]

Oh and its not the same person that did her voice in the first kh the first kh girl did an excellent job. Also sephs voice is no where near as cool as it was before and the whole story behind him being there totally sucks......

Auron was definitely very cool, though as of where I am (Disney Castle) he seems to have played an extremely minimal role in the storyline. It sounds like they got the same guy from FFX to voice him, though, which is good.

Anyway, I'm in the Tron level now. Though it was kinda corny how Sora and the others got there, I won't complain. No worse than Rikku/Yuna/Paine popping up out of nowhere. XD

Heh. My earlier comments about the Gummi Ship levels...well, I rescind them. They're actually pretty awesome.

The only thing bugging me is that to unlock the secret ending, you apparently have to fill out Jiminy's Journal completely.

Unless I can find a Gameshark code, this will never happen for me, since I don't see how it is possible to get 1,000 points in Phil's training mode thing.

I was thinking really hard of how I could let people who have already played it know what part I'm at! But either way...it is a spoiler no matter who see's it if they haven't gotten to that part. But anyway.

So we preordered it, with both the game and speical edition game guide (Which also has the official artwork book!!!). My younger sister (Ranchy) reads what happens next in the guide, and if I ask for her help, she can tell me how to defeat the bosses.

Here are my thoughts of the game so far (Yeah, there's spoilers in here):

[spoiler]So, was amazed at how many cutscenes there were! It's like, walk, cutscene, walk, cutscene. Seriously! It's awesome! Being Roxas first off is awsome! And Utada Hikaru sang in english!!! XD The Japanese version sounds sooooo much better! Seriously! And I loved seeing it with the full crystal clear graphics! *.*
Anyway, delivering the letters was so much fun. And I saved up all this money, only to find that it was taken away from me! T_T I was sooooo upset. But watching the cutscenes, and listening to the story unveil made up for it! XD

Ok, does anyone else think that the storyline is really clever? I don't play the FF games, so some may be similiar in some areas, but I think it's so stinkin clever! Though, the only thing I am confussed about is if Roxas is the simulated self...where is his real self?? Will he return?
And when Namine is talking to him at the table, and she says something along the lines of them being "incomplete, and looking for something whole" I was like "JESUS! It's Jesus!!" Then I was like "Oh....it's just a game. o.o" .....lol, yeah.

AXEL IS ROXAS'S BEST FRIEND?! XD Oh yeah, another killer, I didn't even think about Roxas name when I first heard it, but now understand why they didn't reveal it till later! The only thing I thought about his name, was how to say it! XD But to hear he was apart of Orginization 13! AHHHHH!! DUH! He has an X in his name. -_-
And I must admit, Jesse Mcartney did an ok job with Roxas' voice. It's alright. -_- And Haley Joel Osment sounds soooo much older! It's so funny, cuzz if the game was made in America, Donald and Goofy would probably say "Woah Sora! Your voice is way lower!" lol. And while we're talking about voices, Mena Suvari does not sound anything like Mandy Moore. She's waaaaay to quiet and soft.

Was also wondering why Sora's hair was much lighter, and me and my sis. figure it was because he was asleep for so long, maybe the moisture did something to it or somethin. *shrug*

Battling is sooooooo much fun! You go so fast, it makes you feel so much cooler! In KH1 I felt slow, and clumsy when I did it sometimes, but the set it up is so cool! And Drive mode is totally awsome! Adding the Triangle button as a combo for bosses was very cool too!

The only thing I can complain about, is that I think the worlds are just a little too short. It's like, Hollow Bastion- ok now go to Land of the Dragons! @.@
So we're goin toward Pirates now, decided to take a break from it for a few to post on here. My sister and I have lives.....if we didn't, we'd be very far. >_>

Favorite part so far is when Demyx (Orginization dude with blondeish hair and Guitar-like weapon) had to read the card to know what to do!!! XDDD LOL!!! I can't stop laughing when I think of it! He said something like. "Wait...Roxas right?"
"What are you talking about?!" Sora asked.
"Oh wait." pulls card out and reads it out loud, "'If inner self does not respond, pursue him by making him angry'....boy did they send the wrong guy for this." (Or something along those lines) XD lol!

^_^ lol, even though I don't play them, I do know where the characters are from. Thank you for telling me anyway though! I am actually both not allowed, or wish to, play the FF games. I beleive the FF games are much more adult then the Kingdom Hearts games. I have looked up almost all of the FF Hit games, and have seen things in them that I really don't wanna be dwelling on. While looking at them, I know the characters, and what they look like, and what game they are from.

Like I know (Character that apears in KH2)...:
[spoiler] ...that Auron is from FF10 (But boy do I get him mixed up with Vincent!). As well as Tifa (She has not apeared in KH2), Yuffie, Cloud and Aerith, from FF7. [/spoiler]

I didn't even to go Halloween Town or the Pride Lands, because I went back to Twilight Town as soon as it appeared. A mistake, apparently, since after that some stuff went down at Hollow Bastion, and now Agrabah, Halloween Town, and the Pride Lands are gone.[/SPOILER]
By the way, I just got a game over fighting Xaldin at Beast's Castle...the dude is freakin' HARD.
