The Sims 2

Postby KBMaster » Thu Mar 16, 2006 4:57 am

Since the ask-the-content-of-a-game thread seems to have died, I figured it'd be okay to post here.
How bad is the sexual content in the Sims 2? Is it avoidable? Do you need to have a baby the conventional way or do your sims just say "Hey, let's have a baby!" "Okay!" I know it was avoidable in the first Sims, but after seeing a video, neither I nor my mom are sure. My brother REALLY wants this game, so any info would be appreciated! He likes the town mode(I think that;'s what it's called) better than the story mode, so I would think there'd be less sexual theme in the town than story as it was in last game.

As far as I know (from extensive geek reading on the part of yours truly), the babies only come via the non-stork method. But again, that's just me reading. I'm sure someone that actually owns the game could help out.

Welllll, you can adopt babies too, by calling the adoption agency on the phone. Or are you talking about the console version? I have only ever played the comp version, but i would guess there is a way around the "non stork method" in the videogame too.

Yes, you're able to play in bed. Either by "Wooing" with your spouse or by "Let's make a baby" and they get in bed. Kinda and start moving around under the covers. Laughing and stuff, as if they were playing cat and mouse and something. Eventually fireworks will go and their heads will pop out, wearing nothing but underwear.

They also do so in hot tubs.

Thanks. Mom's decided he can't play it, but he can play the first Sims. He's decided that will be more fun as there is less restrictions in the game in the town mode. Besides, who wants to spoil having a baby and watching the mom throw a fit due to lack of sleep? :thumb:

In the sims 1, you make a baby by kissing a lot. But in the expansion pack "Livin Large" and I think some other ones (Like "Hot Date") have beds where you can "Woo" or "Play" which is basically the same thing. They go under the covers and kind of chase each other like cats and dogs.

Leave it to MSP to be informative ^^ I've had extensive play time with the first one, and MSP's right all the way. It's nothing graphic or anything in it's self. But it's still weird o.o

The Sims 1 is kind of dangerous because it implies that babies come by sorcery. There's a burst of sorcerous energy and the baby just appears. Wooo, be afraid.

Plus, you can kill people and they will walk around as ghosts. (be careful, though, if you kill your neighbours, they go away for real. i.e. the characters are even gone from their own house. You can depopulate a neighborhood like that.)
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.
