HAPPY ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO THE PRAYER GUARDIANS! :thumb:

Hard to believe, but it's already been one year since PG was founded, on Jan. 16, 2005. I'm glad to have been a part of this subgroup within the CAA. Let's continue praying for each other and others. :thumb:

Don't you love sentimental moments, guys? ;)

Yeah, it seems like it was only yesterday! It was good to be able around when it happened and it's been cool to have a chance to pray for people I would have never gotten a chance to pray for otherwise. Hopefully this group will continue for the years coming. For now, if anyone reads this, let's pray for the mods and admins in regards to this big troll wave. Also, pray for the trolls to repent and turn to Jesus.

This can be easily discouraging, but the scripture comes to mind:

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 5:10-12

Hey everyone! I'm back from Brazil. While I did forget to fast on the 15th, I didn't forget to pray for all of you every night.

May I join this Prayer Guardians group?
Simple arithmetic:
FF7 + World War II games = overrated
freedom + things we're lucky to have = taken for granted
manga + anime = a very happy person
Salvation + Jesus' Sacrifice = Eternal Life
a village - its idiot = a lot of smart people
(more to come)

Words of wisdom:
"Who's more foolish: the fool or the fool who follows him?" - Obi Wan Kenobi

"Sometimes Justice is a (insert item here)!" - Kato Kaelin

"You wouldn't lie to a judge with a baseball bat, would you?" - Extreme Akim

"For as low as you go, ask God to take you that high." - Tyler Perry

"I had the right to remain silent...I just didn't have the ability." - Ron White

"Your trademark is stupidity!" - Mr. T

"Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them." - Obi Wan Kenobi

"If you can't be good, be good at it." - my uncle
(more to come)

Shout-outs:
SaintKevin, Yahshua, and Lunis, you guys rock!; Pillar, Kutless, 12 Stones, Skillet, and Falling Up for rocking hard, and Jesus Christ for being my Rock!

Welcome, Pillar_anime7.

I must apologize to everyone for not being around much lately. The place where I always got my internet access has now blocked everything that has anything to do with anime, so it's a real struggle for me to get on CAA.

Happy belated World Prayer Day, everyone!

Along the lines of fasting, what are people giving up for Lent? I decided to go with all sugary items this year.

Well... how did everyone's fast on the 15th go? Mine went very well. Instead of eating (or drinking, anyhow) in the cafeteria, I went outside and sat under a tree to drink my orange juice. I did a very extended Lord's Prayer as I watched the clouds. I enjoyed it a lot. I was never hungry the whole day. About 1:00 though, my stomache began hurting very severely, and continued to do so. My mom got worried and wanted me to eat supper, so I did. But, yeah. It was good.

Yay! Someone else is fasting! Well, I'm sure others are too who haven't posted. I'm just not sure who all is into this and who isn't. I forgot to fast on the 15th, so I did the 16th instead and it was really good. You wouldn't think you would be taught more at home after leaving Bible school, but I have so much to learn.

Hey everyone, sorry I have been away so long. 1st off I have been fasting from the internet. 2nd I have been writing so much on this book for the Lord that I have hardly been social at all... except for church. 3rd I have been having some real problems in my youth ministry. I have posted that in prayer threads already. Anyway, I am going to try and post more. Good to see you all again!

Well, here it is April 1st. I am trying to fast from (solid) food today. Of course, that is easier to say in the morning. Hmm, now for weasely definitions. Are instant Ramen noodles a solid food? It seems in most anime that the broke, starving college student often resorts to Ramen noodles. So, if it is like a food of last resort, can you eat it and still be fasting? I actually kind of like them.
