Severe knee problems

Postby meboeck » Wed Mar 08, 2006 2:15 pm

I put up a request a while back about knee problems. It was doing great for a while, but recently the pain has come back with a vengance. This morning, it hurt so bad I literally had a hard time getting out of bed. I have been in pain almost all day, and it has been difficult just getting up and down stairs. Please pray that the pain will at least go down because it is hurting my ability to live normally at this point.

I'm really sorry to hear that, dude. I'll pray for you! It must be very discouraging for you, since you love to dance so much, but God has a great plan in store. Who knows what He wants to do? ^^

I know how you feel, as I am going through some painful physical problems at the moment also. I will pray for you.

Well, saw the doctor, and I ended up getting a Cortizone shot. She said there is a very slight chance that I may have rheumatoid arthritis, but she doubts it because it normally affects smaller joints. That's why a lot of people get it in their hands.

Yay! I don't have rheumatoid arthritis. That's really good news, because that's an immune system disorder that ends up really messing up your body. My knee still isn't back to normal, but it is doing better. The big problem is I'm a dancer and I can't get back to dancing until I know for a fact that I'm not going to screw up my knee.

That's good news that you don't have that particular kind of arthritis. Does your doctor know what else could be causing it? I know how scary this must be for you...I'm a singer, so I know what it's like to rely on a part of your body that's completely uncontrollable most of the time. I'll be praying for you. Hang in there!
