Possible World of Warcraft Guild

Postby Soukoru » Fri Mar 10, 2006 5:58 pm

This idea came up after a guild meeting that I attended. I was wondering if anyone here played World of Warcraft and would possibly like to create a guild on it. Many guilds just invite anyone and many people aren't too friendly. This would be great for those who are Christians and want to interact in an actual friendly environment.

We would probably be called "The CAA" or just "CAA". I'm looking for a server right now that all of us can join so we can be on one server (and we don't get stuck with a weird server name eg. "Come join the Christian Anime Alliance on the Skullcrusher server!" O.o)

Ideas or suggestions?

I don't play very often, but if you did start up a guild, I might drop in when I get a chance.

I was thinking that maybe we could go with a Normal server, maybe Elune? As for characters we would go Alliance. I don't think many people go with a normal server and not many people are on Elune (at least when I checked).

How about it? I'll wait for a general consensus before I start making a character on there.

Pick a low pop server I do not beleive elune is low pop. Honestly when I do play this alt I do not want to see waiting in que with 300 or more. Dont really go by name unless its a name that would be bad for us.

Ill take a look at the servers today and look but I would suggest an rp realm due to, even though most people dont rp the rp servers generally have a tighter better community. Secondly We should also check the forum of the server we are going because seriously some servers have all the jerks...

Why is Alliance always so popular?

¬.¬ *loves her Horde* xD

It would mean starting another character...again, but I'm definitely up for it!

I personally attribute it to bad posture on every male. And the fact that the forsaken are so evil.

I agree. Thanks for looking into that desperado. Like I said before, I was checking the servers at the time so it was only one second out of the 24 hours it runs. As for picking servers, I'm not the best one at that, so I welcome all the help that comes around.

It's because they have the best looking graphics!

Just kidding. Both sides are equal. I just figured Alliance would be a better pick since many people that I saw on Horde were really stuck up. Of course, like desperado said, I could have been on a server with a bunch of jerks. :shady:

Oh also, the idea of an RP server is also good too. I'm just not that good with RPing though. I'm pretty sure that you could help me out with that. :thumb:

Note to self: Do not make a female character, level her up to 19, then dance with a Horde Orc who's only level 9. <sigh> What was I thinking?

Suggestion: start on a brand new server.

I'm politely disagreeing. I did that (though it was a transfer server, it still had the same effect) and it's a mess. It's really popular because it's "new". The fact that people can start on common ground is an awesome idea, but it's a major mess for a while until the new wears off. Long queues, lots of lag and thirty or fourty low level characters all with the exact same "kill this creature quest"....and there's only ten creatures. Just a few examples.

Finding a server that's been around for a bit with a low population might be another option. I'm not saying that no one should ever start on a brand new server, but my experience with something very similar was very, very bad.

I agree. Starting on a low pop server is a better idea than starting on a new server.

I have actually had that experience of starting on a new server. On the first quest where you kill 8 to 10 monsters then come back to the quest giver, it was impossible. there was 30 to 40 monsters with 60 to 100 people in the same area trying to do the same quest. It was an all out war to level up. Not to happy about doing something like that again. :shady:

However finding a low pop server and everyone starting off new was the idea in mind. Starting on a completely new server that Blizzard put out would just be insane.

By the way desperado, did you find any servers yet that you might recommend?
