The most obscure games you've ever played.

My cousin has this Gameboy Color cartridge full of games. Some of them most everyone knows: Wario, Pokemon, and Space Invaders. Then there was this weird game about the Tasmanian Devil. It's the not cartoon one, it's the actually animal. You're a man who is trying to collect all these cacti while avoiding these tasmanian devils. For some reason, there is this trampoline thing that helps you get to high places. And if you happen to touch one of these animals, you die. Not just, collapse either. I think...the man is having some sort of a seizure, and then he dies. XD

But Tasmanian Devils are from Tasmania (Australia) and cacti aren't native there.

Urban Dead, a Massively Multiplayer Text-based RPG. At least, I think it's pretty obscure as a friend and I are the only people I know who play it.

Hahaha, no, you're thinking of Ecco. Ico is a little known puzzle/adventure game about a boy with horns leading a glowing young girl out of a giganitc castle. The few who do know about it universally agree that the graphics and visuals are nothing short of beautiful.

I had to look up the definition of obscure... Lol.

How about "Ore no Ryori." It's a Japanese gem for the PS1, where you play as a cook in a restaurant. It's very fun, but I was never able to get a copy of the full game. I just have a demo from an old Jampack. I must have played that demo for hours...

Or "Incredible Crisis." (also for PS1) Why in the world did that game make its way to the US? I don't know, but I'm glad it did. Although it's just a mere collection of minigames, it's quirky humor will keep you playing.

Worm War I for the Atari 2600. One of its many bad games. It was quite pointless, actually. Couldn't make heads or tails of it.
Astro Chase for the Atari 800 computer. It had terrible graphics, even for its time, and your ship moved like it was inside a pinball machine. If that wasn't enough, a terrible version of The 1812 Overture plays ad nauseum.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for the PC. It was a text adventure based on the novel.
Aztec for the Apple IIe. An Indiana Jones-style platformer with a very strange glitch. You could levitate down to the next floor.
Shamus, also for the Atari 800. This game was sort of like that classic touch-anything-and-you-die game, Berserk (the one with the evil smiley face named Evil Otto). Even your own shadow was an enemy! The opening music was "Funeral March of the Marionette", aka the theme to "Alfred Hitchcock Presents".

Now THAT was a fun game. When I get a chance, I'll be starting the latest one from that group, "Shadows of the Colosus."

The most obsecure game I've ever played was a pencil and paper game called either "Eskimos and Carabu" or "Carabu Hunting" depending on who I asked. It was an old pencil and paper game where you punched through the paper with a pencil and looked to see if you found a carabu under there. (My father was a teacher; we played weird games).

Less than 250000 spread out over the whole world. I don't know if that's obscure or not, but I figured it was. Other games that may or may not be obscure that I have played are Lighthouse: The Dark Being, a puzzle game I've never seen or heard of since I borrowed it from a friend years ago, and Zork I, which is somewhat famous but almost nobody seems to have played.

Zombies Ate My Neirbors! (NES) has to be the most obscure followed by Future Cop LAPD (PS1).

Ico is probably my favorite game outside of the Zelda series. I just wish that it had been longer, I wonder how SotC will be when I get around to playing it?

It's for PS1, and it's really, really excellent. Much better than the GBA one (which I have, and is good). The plot in the game is great, and surprisingly dark. Track down a copy if you can, it's totally worth it.

I believe Zombies Ate My Neighbors! was on the SNES. I have it for Genesis.

There is a game called "Obscure" that came out on Xbox somewhat recently. I guess that's worth a mention.
