Yo, I need a little bit of help, I am feeling a little disconnected from God and I hate the feeling of emptiness it gives me. I dunno what to do, I have missed several weeks at chruch, but only because my parents weren't feeling good. I am a wreck right now and need a little help. So if you all could pray for me that would be great.

Thank you and God Bless
~Nami~

Ooh the feeling of being separated from God does stink indeed. Try and see if one of the people from your church can give you a ride.

Praying for ya.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I would but I don't think anyone lives close to me. Only one family, but yeah they have a packed car.

I'll pray for you, Nami!
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

I'll pray for ya, I would like to emphasise how important it is that you read your Bible and spend a little dedicated time with God every day, especially when you haven't been able to get to church. Besides, not being at church isn't a sin, it just makes the week harder when you don't go.

No one feels close to God all the time. He never leaves us, but He withdraws the feeling of His presence to strengthen our faith as individuals because it forces us to keep believing and following even when we aren't so sure about what's going on. Keep up on prayer, reading your Bible, and other Christian resources such as books or sermons on tape if you have access. The Screw Tape Letters is doing wonders for me. Also, you may try an on-line church; our church broadcasts services over the Net, so I know other churches do as well. I'll pray for you.

Lifting you up, sister. I think the fact you're even concerned about it shows you've not lost connection with God the way you're feeling. Satan tries to put thoughts and feelings into our minds that go against what God tells us, but they're lies. But what God tells us is truth. We can't live by our feelings, because they can deceive us, but we can live by what God tells us. I'd recommend reading through Psalm 139 to get just a glimpse of how God sees you.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

I'll pray for you as well. Like others have said, sometimes we are going to feel a bit disconnected, but remember...if you seek the face of Him, you WILL find Him. Never fear, little miss. You're in my prayers.

God is not just in church, so look for him everywhere. There are a lot of things around you for which God is responsible and should be praised. Flowers, new fallen snow, a babbling creek, and (my awesome favorite) a star-filled night sky.

Praise God frequently for these wonders and you mght find you grow closer to Him in the everyday.
